Great place and good food. I had the shepherd cake and my wife had the scallops. Both were very good, especially the scallops.

The service is exceptional, and the food is delicious. Additionally, it's a fantastic spot to enjoy a game and have a pint with family or friends.

The food was great. We tried the fish and chips, which came with large fries; I just wished the piece of fish was a bit bigger. We also had pasta, a burger with fries, and baked squid served with mash...

This was my first time trying oysters, and they were phenomenal! I topped them with Tabasco and lemon, chewed twice, and then swallowed them whole—just $1 each! WOW! The service was exceptional as well. The short rib tacos were the best I've ever had. I challenge you to give them a try; you won’t be disappointed!

Probably my favorite restaurant in Boston. It is always amazing food and a great atmosphere. The Tavern wings are incredible, along with the roasted chicken dinner. The Greek salad is huge and very good, not what one would expect from a tavern. Also the baked squid is great. The only thing I didn't like here was the shell-chowder, too thick for me. The service is always good and it is not difficult to get a reservation, unlike any other good restaurant in Boston. I'm excited that the summer uses $1 oysters. Visualizza piatti

The food was excellent. We tried the fish and chips (the chips were fantastic, though I wished the fish portion had been a bit larger), pasta, a burger with fries, and baked haddock served with mashed potatoes and green beans (is this a Boston classic?). The atmosphere was nice, with dimly lit rooms that felt cozy and intimate. The service was good too. Even though it was busy when we arrived around 7 PM, the staff was friendly and attentive. Interestingly, this place was once a hangout for George Washington and Paul Revere back in the day...

That was on our duty to see the list of places to have a drink. Bragging rights to say I had a beer in the same place as George Washington and Paul Revere! It was a very busy St. Patrick's day weekend and the Taverne was PACKED!! We managed to get a high top for some drinks. I think the Lord who served us was the bar manager and he was great to make sure we had drinks. He gave his name and refused to be tipped that it was someone else's table. Kudos Sir beautiful to see a server looking for co-servers (they would be tapped u just you were amazing and we just wanted to show appreciation)

The history of this place is a draw alone I mean how many places can you have drinks and food where George Washington, Paul Revere, and Benjamin Franklin sat to have drinks? The added plus is that the vibe here is great, the prices are amazing, and the bar service was absolutely fantastic. We were able to grab bar seats (thanks to those who shifted down so we could fit! , which is always my personal preference.
