My new favorite hidden gem! I love coming here Never been to a restaurant with a vibe like Whitneys. it literally feels like youre in the middle of an island in hawaii. Quiet, peaceful, aesthetically pleasing. Staff is always so friendly! Their quinoa with grilled chicken is AMAZING! ? ?

Absolutely recommend! My wife and I had an amazing experience here. They have relaxed, retro atmosphere by the beach, full of palm trees and tropical flowers. Our server was very friendly and accommodated us and our little dog very well. They have agreat drink menu and the food was delicious. Get the grilled chicken sandwich or avocado toast! A great hidden gem in LongboatKey.

This was my second visit within a few months. The atmosphere is fun. The decor is cute and the live music was great today. The service takes a while you start to wonder if they actually forgot about you my waiter today never even came back to ask if the food was ok or if I wanted anything else. I had similar issues the last time I was there. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was really dry. It had two sad slices of avocado on it and I couldn't taste the aioli. I really enjoyed the breakfast hash the last time I was there. I did enjoy the cocktails they offer but prepare to pay $14 each. Visualizza piatti

I absolutely love this place! It's so original, though my husband wishes there were fewer fish options on the menu. The selection isn't very extensive, but I get it considering the type of restaurant it is. It's small, charming, and has a quirky vibe. The strawberry salad was delicious, but I really wanted breakfast, which is only served on weekends. Since we're locals and usually come during the week, that was a bit disappointing. I also thought it was adorable how the outdoor seating is arranged for guests, complete with cloth napkins and silverware. Plus, they have a unique bottle of water for the table, which adds a nice touch!

I really wanted to love this restaurant since it's local to me. First off, the ambiance is stunning and has been beautifully transformed from its previous life as a gas station. I enjoyed the food, and the LBK bowl was definitely a highlight. However, there were a few things I wasn't thrilled about. The service was quite slow; we were seated but had to search for a waiter 20 minutes later. Additionally, we were served a dirty water glass that had lipstick on it, and we found hair in the honey that accompanied the parfait. To top it off, the restrooms left much to be desired and reminded me of a typical gas station bathroom. Hopefully, you’ll have a better experience!

The laidback beach vibe of this place is perfect! The building used to be a gas station and I love that they retained much of the architecture. The staff were friendly and attentive. I appreciated that they were extra respectful and accommodating to anolder gentleman who had an obvious disability and required special seating. The food was wonderful. We got the queso for theappetizer, which was heavenly. I got the Whitney Burger and the fiancé got the mixed salad w/ champagne vinaigrette. Wefinished off the meal with their famous key lime pie. This place is pretty nice. We had a large group of 14 and were seated right away since it wasn’t too busy. Our food and drink orders were taken promptly, but it took over an hour for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, everything was quite bland. I ordered the fish tacos, which were a decent size, but for the price, I expected at least three tacos. While the food was well-cooked and nicely presented, it lacked flavor—there wasn’t even a sauce or crème to enhance it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. However, the chicken sandwich was quite basic and unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and tough. The steak sandwich was average at best; we requested extra sauce, which improved the flavor a bit. Despite ordering the steak medium, it arrived well-done. The most disappointing aspect was the service. We waited a long time for our server to refill our water and bring the sauce we had asked for. After about 30 minutes, I noticed another table behind us also trying to get the waiter’s attention for their bill. I went to Whitney's twice in April 2023. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to leave a negative review due to potentially serious health and safety concerns regarding sodium content. Never mind the long wait and slow service the food is the problem here.My first visit, I ordered the Snapper dish, one of the most expensive items on the menu. It was served in a broth of what I highly suspect was pure soy sauce. I ate what I could, but not without also chugging an entire carafe of water and more. I am not one to complain, but out of concern I did ask the waiter to express my opinion of the sodium content to the chef. I am in my 20's but was with my elderly father.
