"This is a family-owned gyro restaurant located in Springfield, Illinois. The service was prompt and friendly. My wife and I loved our loaded gyros, along with the fries and onion rings. The dining area wasn't crowded, and since it's a small family establishment, they kindly requested that customers clean up their own tables and wipe them down when they leave. We had no problems with that. The staff behind the counter were busy as takeout orders were quickly moving out of the shop. I would definitely recommend Yannis."

Gyro was loaded, tzatziki was great, dalmades and sauce were excellent, flaming saganaki was amazing too! Highly recommend the food here.

Place was closed. I looked it up to find the hours. According to listing…closed at 8 p.m. I was there at 4:35p.m. I even called but NO answer.

How's the quality of the food? Good but not the best. How's the customer service? Very attentive. How's the place look from the inside and outside? Clean. Authentic. How was your overall experience? Above average. Were expectations met? It was what I was looking for.. Will you come back again? Yes. Any advice for future customers? Take take looking at the menu.

I cannot decide what makes this gyro so good. Not sure it's necessarily BETTER than others I've had in such places as Greek town and the south side of Chicago but it is deliciously different. The meat seems softer and more flavorful. The pita bread is also softer and the sauce is pure yum. Fresh tomatoes, parsley and onions are the finishing touches. We go out of our way to visit Yanni's if we are travelling I-55 or anywhere else nearby Springfield. Maybe one of these times I will try something … – show
