"I was looking forward to experiencing this place. Arrived with a friend today, first impression great decor, spacious and great ambiance. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of seating options; outdoor, restaurant and bar. Sat down and commenced our order: the taco sampler 5x, potato flautas and chips. Order came out in about 10 minutes.Verdict? I have to qualify this by saying I had just flown in from Mexico City…. But I have to say poor is generous. Pastor, chicken, asado, carnitas super bland and over cooked. The flautas, no flavor. Salsa was ok. I have to imagine it’s because of the location, Solano Ave in Albany conservative palette. The standout for me was the shrimp taco, that was realz good. kinda pricey, each taco was about $6, I was getting WAY better in Mexico City at 60 cents a taco. It is what it is, I heard they have good live music there, I may revisit for a beer and to check out a band?"

The vegan flautas are fantastic! I highly recommend pairing them with a sauce or some guacamole for added flavor.

The Vegan Flautas de Papa and the Vegan Quesabirria were absolutely delicious! Plus, they were gluten-free. I will definitely be ordering them again!

The restaurant offers fantastic plant-based options. They cleverly incorporate Butcher's Son cheeses, which are both delicious and flavorful! Highly recommended! View menu

Meatless Monday had a surprisingly large amount of meat on the menu, and unlike it's namesake only a single vegan taco was available. I've seen and had better experiences in the past and this was a disappointing one, though the food and atmosphere were still solid.

I love this place for a quick sit-down. Service is fast and you can sit outside. Outside there are heaters and plants. Great for people watching and very relaxed. Food comes out very fast and the beer selection is excellent. This is my go-to place for a date or evening of relaxation with some tacos and beers.

OMG! These tacos were so good. I had a ribeye taco and a short rib taco. Taco options change each month, so get there before December to try these 2. So tender and juicy. There is so much flavor. The kind of tacos you daydream about. 2 hours later, and I can't stop thinking about them. I'm in love. The staff was awesome, too. View menu

Avocado toast was delicious. But please serve it on a plate. Sunny side up eggs need to be on a plate with a lip. Even aside from that, stuffs all falling off the board and getting onto the table. Also the bread is too thick and needs a steak knife to cut through it. You should just serve it with the steak knife.Service was very very slow.

I’ve become a regular here at the Berkeley spot on College All the food here is made from scratch and is above and beyond! Vegan options as well! I’m not vegan but I love vegan food done right. The quesabirria vegan is delicious as much as any of their other food! Also if you order the Guacamole Chips an Salsa, you get extra chips and salsa. Great beer list and margaritas too! And you can watch the game at the bar!!!

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
