"First time trying this shop at the Arden Fair Mall, and it was just ok.We came in from the parking lot entrance and the dining room was a disaster. It looked like someone poured the trash can all over the floor and tables..I wish I had taken a picture. It's like no one came to clean the entire day, and it was a bit of a turn off. We grabbed an egg tart and a mushroom pastry thing (can't remember what it was called), and got in line. The line was long, but moved quickly! We also ordered a slice of Black Forest Cake, which is my husband's all time favorite cake. I ordered a Boba Milk Tea with 25% sweetness, and I can't remember what he ordered to drink. The cashier was friendly, quick, and efficient. I grabbed a table in the mall area right outside the shop since the dining room was so dirty. He enjoyed the cake, although he is still looking for an authentic tasting German Black Forest cake it was still very good. It was leaps and bounds better than Kathrins in Roseville. I ate the egg tart which was very good. I took the mushroom pastry thing home, heated it and took a bite...ugh it was SO SO salty. Threw the rest away.My Boba Milk Tea was very good. The boba had perfect texture and seemed very fresh. The milk tea was just the right sweetness and balanced."
