"This is the best ice cream in Granite city hands-down due to the frozen sherbet it is handmade and the recipe has been passed down generations from the mother and the daughter owning it together to just being the daughter now she is the sweetest woman and she has so many events for the community she’s truly an asset and so is her business there is another dairy bar that is located across town both of them bring different aspects to the community and both are and very respectful to each other and I appreciate that the most and I think that’s why the city loves both of the ice cream places in our town, The Owners are amazing WOMEN in business!"

"I love the ice cream at this restaurant, as does everyone in my family. However, when my husband and I recently visited, we were shocked by the prices. We ordered a medium chocolate malt and a regular Oreo Concrete with very little Oreos, as we always do, and the total came to $17.30. This is double the price we usually pay. As much as we love this place, we unfortunately will not be returning. Thank you Weathervane for everything you've done so far. We wish you the best in the future. - The Greens"

"Upon entering the restaurant, I was left standing without being seated right away. It was around 12:56 pm, a common lunch time, and I waited for about 3 to 4 minutes before someone acknowledged me. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, but it would have been appreciated if they had informed me they would be with me shortly. The server who eventually attended to me seemed to prioritize other tables before acknowledging my presence. I ordered the brussel sprouts and peppers, along with a veggie burger. The brussel sprouts were delicious with fried onions on top, and the veggie burger was exceptionally tasty. The onion rings were golden and sweet, and they paired well with the meal. The brussel sprouts with peppers had a nice contrast of flavors with pickled peppers and fried onions topping it off. The veggie burger came with a complimentary aioli that complemented the flavors well. Although they only offered regular ketchup, the option of dipping the onion rings or using it on the burger was appreciated. Unfortunately, they did not accept Apple Pay and declined my attempt to use Samsung Pay."

"So go back a little over a month ago, me and my kids are walking to the dollar store. I stop in front of firehouse subs to adjust their mask before we get there. As I finished, a lady comes out and gives my kids rice krispy treats. At that moment, due to her kindness to my kids, I decided I would eventually go there and give them my business.I'd never had them and didnt plan on ever going. Fast forward to today and I decide I'm going to get dinner from there. Ofcourse my awesome timing meets with their early closing hours due to the pandemic. But the guy still gave my kids rice krispy treats! i was satisfied and grateful with that. But then another guy comes from the back with a cancelled doordash order (A sub)and says we can have it.We again give our thanks and appreciation. But as we are leaving the establishment I see him rushing out with another order that hadn't been picked up and included a kids meal. That definitely solidified this review as well as my future business! So thank you to the kind workers on duty at the granite city firehouse subs!"

"After this being my third time not sure I will return. Twice now I have ordered and paid for asparagus rolls and received avocado instead. I was also charged 3 dollars extra to have eel sauce and spicy mayo on my rolls and still some were missing the eel sauce. Rolls are inconsistent in size as well. First time quality was 100/100 amazing ordered Spicy Alaska rolls. 2nd time quality was not as good in fish in Alaska Rolls and order not right, 3rd time just not great at all same stuff and sick of getting charged for more exspensive item to get a less exspensive one.... I don't like a scam don't order asparagus rolls..."
