"Service is always hit n miss. Wanted a cheese plate and asked if they could hold the bleu cheese and add a little extra of one of the other cheeses. Bartender said she would give it her best shot but made it clear she couldn't be sure that it won;t come with bleu cheese because her spanish was not so good. She made it clear that this was burden and asked me if there was something else I would want. How hard can it be to just hold the bleu cheese on a cheese plate. So I just gave in and ordered fries which sucked. The aoli is awesome and the cocktail was decent too. The fries were so greasy it was gross and of course I got no napkins with them. I guess she did her best when asking for napkins but it just didn't work out given her lack of spanish? Think I'm done with that place. The bartender is more suited for a take no s dive bar."

Often have nice visits, happy there was availability across the way (Ale's crowd can be a lil rambunctious which then proceeded to Oak w ended up eating, cocktailing, watching the game, etc.

Charming establishment! One side has a more laid-back vibe while the other has a more upscale dining feel. Their happy hour specials on wine and beer are excellent. My cousin had a sandwich that was fantastic. Definitely a place to check out!

Ale On Oak offers $1 off pints on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 7, which is unbeatable. The patio is very relaxed, featuring plenty of quiet TVs. The beer selection is fantastic, just as the name 'Ale On Oak' suggests. Don't forget to check out their menu while you're there! View menu

I've visited several times, primarily for drinks. The beer selection is impressive, including Guinness, and the atmosphere provides a nice, cozy alternative to Oak Wine Bar, which can sometimes be a bit loud and hectic. The service here is pleasant, without being overly friendly. My friend and I made the mistake of ordering martinis, which were prepared well but served in a small glass that was far from filled to the rim. We assumed it was a one-off, so we ordered another round, only to receive the same three-quarters full tiny glass. We probably shouldn't have ordered martinis at a beer-focused place, but they do have them on the menu. I'll definitely return, but I won't be ordering cocktai...
