"This tiny restaurant is a pretty nice place to have a quick lunch while being in Elizabeth New Jersey. Especially for those who have to serve as jurors. The Court House is on tbe opposite corner of this restaurant, so if you dont like the food served in the cafeteria inside the building, I strongly recommend you to stop by this small restaurant. Prices are pretty good and you will get lots of food with a great Latin American flavour."

"My husband and I thought this Portuguese Restaurante absolutely charming and fabulous! great food! It is a sophisticated establishment, but still with plentyful of country atmosphere, that makes you feel like you went on vacation... The menu most certainly will bring you to Portugal... and you will be very satisfied! Their menu is huge, but also have daily specials. The food is delicious!!! They will serve you fresh bread , butter, olive oil, and Olives as soon as you are seated. We ordered breaded, fried Sardines which were crispy , crunchy on the out side and nicely soft on the inside ... just perfect. Then we had Braised Beef Short Ribs with Potatoes and Broccoli Rabe, in a sauce with great spices and savory flavours. also cooked to perfection Temting Dessert Menu as well ... I had Creme Brule' and my husband got a Flan...both yummy. Very nice Wine List... I had a wonderful red wine from Portugal! The service is very professional, but still so sweet and kind. The place is big! I love the terracotta/ stone floors, dark wooded ceiling beams, staircase and details of decorative tiles on the walls, very stylish and authentic. They have an outdoor seating, a bar area and the dining room. also private event room up the staircase This is a hidden gem in a industrial/ working class neighbourhood... So glad we found this place, we will definitely come back!"

"I am very critical of restaurants. I have no qualms burying a restaurant with the truth. In this case the truth is this place is fantastic. The food was delicious, healthy and fresh. The options will satisfy a diverse group of your family and friends. The service was prompt, responsive and just shy of intrusive. The atmosphere was light and casual. The price was on the low side of high priced but well worth the expense. I have been to a taste of Portugal twice and I have not been disappointed. The baked cod fish dish with the veggies and potatoes was enough for two. The rib eye with potatoes and veggies was huge. I didn’t walk out of there feeling like I just ate thanksgiving. I walked out feeling like I ate a large healthy meal and I still had a take home bag with me. The limoncello ice cream tart dessert was unique and new for my palate. I loved it. They had a chocolate layered cup with different textures of dark chocolate in one cup (shaved chocolate, mouse, pudding/cream and chocolate with nuts on top) it was unbelievable. This place will be one of my go to places when I want to impress someone with a good time out for dinner. Expect to spend about $100 for a table of two, not including drinks from the bar, but like I said the food portions and the way it was prepared and served make the cost worth it. Enjoy going here.
