They adhere strictly to COVID-19 guidelines, making sure that everyone wears masks and promptly reminding customers to wear one if they arrive without it. The selection of products is impressive—you can find nearly anything you need. Additionally, there is a small area set aside for redeeming cans and bottles, but be ready for a wait during busy times, as it can get quite crowded.

My wife and I reside in Bolton, and rather than paying inflated prices at Country Cupboard, we usually make the trip to Bacons. The welcoming service is certainly a standout feature, and their selection is remarkable. They provide a diverse range of wines and liquors, along with an outstanding variety of beers—including small-batch options, growlers, and a great selection of hard ciders. Bacon's in Hudson is my favorite spot for everything related to drinks. They carry all the essentials along with some unique options that you didn't even know you wanted. Whenever I've called to inquire about a specific beer or wine that I couldn't find anywhere else, their staff has always been knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. If they don’t have what I'm searching for, they're more than happy to order it just for me! I especially appreciate their extensive wine selection, which is neatly arranged by region and type.

I had a good experience with a helpful young staff member who assisted me in finding the wine I wanted. However, there was a hipster employee with large earplugs who just stood there and stared at me while I placed my items on the counter. A simple greeting and a smile would have been nice. On the positive side, the prices here are fantastic, but the service leaves a bit to be desired. It seems like the younger staff are more eager to assist than some of the hipster types. The owners, on the other hand, are lovely and consistently engage in conversation, making you feel welcome. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with the hipster employee.

Some other reviews might suggest that this is a massive store with an extensive selection of rare craft beers and liquors, but that's not entirely true. While it is the largest liquor store in Hudson, it doesn't quite measure up to specialty stores like Julio's in Westborough or Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge. They do offer a decent variety of craft beers, with strong representations from various U.S. regions, but their international craft beer selection is somewhat limited, and you won’t often find particularly obscure New England craft beers here.
