"While driving through Tecumseh on our way to Hidden Lakes Garden, we decided we were hungry so stopped in downtown and were delighted to spot the British Tea Garden (aka British Pantry Tea Garden Cafe). What a gem! It's a lovely British-themed gift shop combined with a cafe for tea and lunch. The decor with pictures of Queen Elizabeth and the royal family made me feel I'd been transported to London. The shop had many lovely gifts to choose from. There was an extensive tea menu and we chose Tea On The Beach, served in beautiful tea cups with a china pot. The service was wonderful and so was the food. My husband enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie and I had the cold luncheon plate (pictured), which was a fresh and savory light lunch. For dessert he had the carrot cake (excellent) and I had the lemon parfait (pictured) which was tart, creamy and delicious a serving large enough to share. I've been craving that parfait ever since! There are gluten-free choices on the menu, which I loved. We highly recommend and will definitely be dining there again."

"for the first time attempted 8/27/22. we were thrilled to try, but perhaps our expectations were too high. our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful. the foods, although they were well refined and presented, were sub par and not worth the price. I ordered the steak, expected a steak. instead I got cold steak-fajitas that were chewing, both for the fat content and for the end. my wife ordered the chicken and it was cooked on the outside and cooked under the inside. she could eat only parts of it, due to a care of the salmonella and the general inconvenience of chewing bun that feels more like sushi. the kartoffels were however decent. the cast iron table on the terrace was sticky, the menus were torn and made of drinks and around the rough, and the music selection was inconspicuous and too loud."

"I enjoyed everything we ordered for breakfast. We both cleaned our plates. The toast was especially terrific. Our server was perfect. It is a fairly small place with plenty of parking. I enjoyed the wall decorations of old signs. Some may think it is old looking but I enjoyed it. We will certainly be returning! Wanted to update my review. Wish I could give this place 10 stars! We come at least once a week from Dundee for breakfast since we first discovered this jewel. Best food and servers! Can't go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu! Omelets, biscuits and gravy, warm syrup for the pancakes. All excellent! And prices are reasonable."

"We went for a day trip to visit Tecumseh and especially the Tecumseh Brewing Company. Beer selection was just okay, great if you love IPAs, which we don't. But the food was really good. I had a very generous chicken quesadilla and my husband had their house burger. Both were delicious. Nice street with several shops worth visiting."
