The value you receive here is remarkable—comparable plates elsewhere would easily cost twice as much and offer half the quality. As for the appearance, this is a classic small business in Philly with a ton of heart, quality, and excellent customer service. You might overlook it while passing by, and if you’re searching for a fancy restaurant, you would definitely miss it! The exterior and interior are still being updated, providing a no-frills atmosphere that gives you a glimpse into their operations. There is currently no seating available, so keep that in mind. If you lean towards a more upscale dining experience, don't let the location or the decor deter you from trying the fantastic food here—you'd really be missing out! Overall, I can't say enough good things. This is an incredible culinary experience! The staff is friendly and attentive, the establishment is Black-owned and operated, and the food is truly outstanding."

This restaurant is truly amazing! The seafood portions are generous, and the soul food is fantastic as well. I tried the fried whiting platter with macaroni and cheese and cabbage, and everything was superb.

When i was pregnant with my daughter who is now 10 this was my favorite spot. Now that im pregnant with my next daughter it still is. I called in with a customer order because I needed to feed 6 ppl and wanted a family meal. Once i told them what i wanted they gave me a custom deal (very much worth the price) and even threw in a little extra food. Food was ready in less then 20 mins. They perfectly wrapped 4 tins so that butter leaked on Nothing (and per my request there was extra butter) and brought my order right out to me as I arrived. Ive had disappointing seafood from a variety of places but NEVER here.
