Went for slices during lunch. Pizza is good, the bartender was super nice. Place is quite a dive (I'm guessing a fantastic bar late nights), but clean.

What a great location. Years of visiting Portland this was my first visit and wish had been more times. Friendly. Good beer selection and excellent pizza by the slice or the pie.

The marinara!! Is!! Incredible!! (And I am not a marinara dipping person usually, better believe I dipped. Service was quick and personal. The Hazelnut Brown from Rogue Brewing was a perfect recommendation. We had a family emergency come up mid meal and they handled it so well, highly recommend this pub!

OMG!!! Nothing else was open on a Satuday night near us. We were desperately hungry. Then we stumbled into Captain Ankeny's. Our journey became a slice of nirvana. My wife chose a 3 topping 9” and I had the Captain's special. I had a beer and we watched Braves win a game in the World Series. Not very long later the pizzas came out and we walked the 3—4 blocks to our room. OMG!!! Fantastic! We'd both planned to eat half a have the rest for breakfast.
