Flawlessly executed, generously portioned dishes. Our party of 4 shared every plate, loved them all, and discovered something distinct and exciting in each one. A meal at Carnal is an experience worth savoring.

For a first time doing Thanksgiving dinner Carnal nailed it! Everything was delicious! I subbed the black cod instead of turkey and it melted in your mouth. Different touches/ingredients to the traditional dishes were creative and again, delicious!

Very few restaurants are able to bring the goods on every dish. Carnal not only exceeds expectations but seems to keep getting better every visit. This was roughly the tenth visit and still we were completely blown away by the meal. Has to be Bellingham 's best eatery. View menu

Carnal never disappoints! Subtle changes in the dishes keep us coming back for more, even when the basis of the dish (like the Black Cod) stays the same. Cheerful fun service. Nice sound damping for the ambience. We got lucky and were seated right by the fireplace—cozy!

The restaurant offers delicious food, creative cocktails, and a welcoming staff in an enjoyable atmosphere. With an open kitchen and semi-private seating, the limited menu still has options for everyone. The dishes feature unique flavor combinations that I had not experienced before. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We had a lovely New Year's Eve dinner. We began with a salad, crudo, and cauliflower. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower and crudo. For our main courses, we had carrots, hangar steak, and short ribs. My husband enjoyed both of the meat dishes. The service was great and sitting by the fireplace was perfect. I celebrated my 40th bday here, it was a very pleasant time! The food was divine, we ordered the chicken wings (10/10) cauliflower (10/10), sourdough bread (8/10), carrots (only 3, could’ve been at least 6 but it was very creamy texture 10/10), short ribs (10/10) and cod (10/10). Also 2 cocktails and both desserts on the menu, the panna cota and chocolate thing (8/10). The panna cota (8/10) with coconut and blood orange was very well made except I didn’t quite enjoy the mix of flavors, I think a different mix would’ve been less tangy and acid. All in all, great place, service and food! Thanks!

Carnal, I love you... a modern love letter about a restaurant since being single and sexy is now a way of life. I visited this welcoming place over the weekend and was greeted by my favorite thing...curtains. I love curtains. when i enter a restaurant with curtains it shows me they care about their customers and the ambience. I made a special request for a great cockatil... no problemo...sparkling water...because we arent peasants... no problem. The food was amazing... the bread was the best I'd had in probably a decade, mostly because my memory only lasts 10 years. Dont miss the chicken wings... I had the pork ribcap and the carrots and slow cooked beef rib...so good, so meaty and SO FILLIN...

First off. Carnal 's food is INSANE! there is no debate about that. Our first and second experiences at Carnal were totally consistent, incredible food, beautiful presentation, and great pro level service... so good. Great cocktail program too.So naturally we wanted to bring our friends to experience this beautiful wood fired food. Our experience unfortunately was really poor. Initially making the rezo we were informed that any changes to our group size we would be charged $20 per person, if we were late our reservation would be cancelled and we would be charged $20 per person.
