"We have tried to give this place a chance more than 20 times because their cooks are good. We will not be going back EVER again. The front end is HORRIBLE and the manager is the WORST. Today was the last straw that made me want to review this place. Our sushi sat there ready for over 15 minutes (no it's not the excuse that they are under staffed) She cleaned dirty tables when no one was waiting to be sat down while our table was still dirty from our appetizers. Filled uprefills for pop on other tables waited in the back for 3 minutes for an appetizer to be done while walking past our food more than a dozen times. Sat by the computer doing NOTHING we finally had to walk up to her and ask for our food. Ifyou want service this is not the place. If you want good service go to Elk River or Maple Grove service is always on point."

"We were passing through on our way home from Minneapolis held off to get breakfast umtil we were outside of the busier areas. Our mistake. We stopped to fill the tank turned to the Yelposphere for direction on food. This time, y'all steered me wrong. On approach, the name made perfect sense the location was nice, with ample outdoor seating. Inside was a different vibe than outside, I'm going to go with a bit shabby. There are games available I like the idea of what I think this place could be. We took a seat, with one other table occupied. I believe our server was new as she had to check things like soup of the day whether or not they sell tomato juice (they do a big ole cup of it too). We were handed menus my husband pointed out that we needed to calculate an extra 20% above the menu pricing. I'd assumed gratuity was being included but he corrected me said that they have increased prices 20% and haven't updated the menus yet, gratuity still needed to be added. (I didn't see the notice personally). We ran right at $37/2 2 meals a tomato juice. We ordered and the food was up quickly too quick... they should have microwaved it another minute or so. The hashbrowns, chicken fried steak gravy were all luke warm. The eggs came out as ordered. No seasoning was added to the eggs or hashbrowns, which I'm ok with, as I like to control my salt intake. Simply put, it was edible but it wasn't good. One note, no flavor not to temp. I'd have been ok comparatively with a drive thru I'm not a fast food eater. Maybe we should have tried the desserts. I suppose that could be the real star here. Overall, the price wasn't crazy high, the food was edible the service was attentive. I didn't see a lot of options in the area next time we'll keep that in mind with our routing and stop planning. I can't in good conscience recommend eating here based on this experience I wouldn't come back."

"I recently had the best donut I've tasted in years. It was light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet—not too much at all. Truly a perfect treat! Make sure to arrive early to grab some before they sell out. We went on a Sunday morning, and there were fewer than ten left. We also tried the Brown Sugar Bubble Tea, an Americano, and a BLT sandwich. The burrito was a hearty portion and very affordable. We will definitely come back earlier next time to try more donut flavors. The prices are fantastic, and there's a wonderful selection of donuts, sandwiches, and drinks. This place is a must-visit in Monticello!"

"The salsa was watery, the tortilla chips tasted stale and were clearly store-bought, and the margaritas seemed to come from a cheap pre-made mix. Most of the food reminded me of frozen microwave meals rather than authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was incredibly slow; it took 30 minutes just for someone to take our order. Our waiter never refilled our drinks and we had to go and ask for our bill ourselves, along with our to-go boxes. This place was only marginally better than the Taco Bell in town, but at four times the price, it just wasn't worth it. The waiter even admitted to having forgotten about us. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. It's a shame because Monticello could really benefit from a true Mexican restaurant. When we finally get one, it won't be this establishment. Coming from San Jose, CA, where there's fantastic Mexican food, I can say with certainty that this place does not meet those standards."

"My husband ordered the 4 cheese Mac n cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. The tenders flavor was so good. The Mac would have been decent, but they poured the brown honey pepper flavor over the white Mac n cheese, and it tasted like pure sugar and not nice. I got the salmon, which was great, but the sides were horrible. I shared with my 13 month old and the brocolli had tablespoons of salt on it. My baby loves brocolli, and he made a face when puttimg it in his mouth. I tried it and spit it out. It was that bad. My server didn't get me a lemonade refill, and it was $4, and I didn't check on how the food was, so I didn't mention the brocolli. The garlic mash tasted like boxed mash potatoes, really watery. For those 2 meals, I wouldn't recommend it for $48."
