Gunzey's Hot Sausage At Bald Birds Brewing Company

Awesome food and friendly staff. We traveled 45 minutes to give it a try. It was well worth it and we will definitely be back again soon.

My mane course today was the hot sausage sandwich. It was so over cooked it was almost black and like mush. It was horrible and they obviously new this when they put it on the bun. Very disappointed that they would even serve that.

Not into IPAs? You will LOVE this place! They do have a few IPAs to chose from but they also had way more non-IPAs beers to chose from. A couple sours, Pilsner, cream ale, and all kinds of other beers. Great stop with a nice atmosphere. Huge clean restrooms. Good sized outdoor space. PAC man and other pinball machines. A golf simulator. Great place!!

We celebrated our 15-year anniversary vow renewal at Bald Bird Brewery, and we had Gunzey's cater the event. The food was delicious and complemented the open bar perfectly. We enjoyed the flatbreads and wings, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how fantastic everything was. Mark was a pleasure to work with and ensured that we were satisfied every step of the way! I highly recommend this place.

We were there last night for the first time. We will definitely be back. The staff a woman at the bar who said she was fairly new, and the young man and young woman at the Gunzys food counter, were so nice and personable. I had a beer flight and actually liked all of them. The food was good, too. French fries were hot and crisp. I had a flatbread margarita. It was very good. Yesterday, we celebrated my dad's 80th birthday upstairs at Bald Birds, with the catering provided by Gunzeys. The buffet included chicken breast, beef tenderloin, roasted red potatoes, string beans, and coleslaw. The food was fantastic, and the service from Mark, his wife, and their family was exceptional! They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we and our guests were satisfied. Many guests complimented the food, expressing how much they enjoyed everything. The man who took our order treated us like we were a nuisance, even though the establishment wasn’t busy. It took just ten minutes for our food to arrive, but I would have preferred to wait an additional twenty minutes for a better dining experience. If you're seeking a good meal, I would recommend staying away from this place; however, if you're willing to spend money without caring about the quality, this could be the spot for you. As for us, we will not be returning. On a positive note, Bald Birds' beer was very good. The name Gunzey 's Hot Sausage has been known in Central PA for decades for those that would go to their local county fair to grab a famous sausage sandwich with peppers and onions oozing over the bun. What most people don 't realize is that Gunzey 's has set up shop inside Bald Birds Brewery. They offer their famous sausage and so much more. They have burgers, brisket and pulled pork, wings, and so much more. They consistently change their menu and offer new items regularly.
