"I don't know why highbar is on the open table. I just made a reservation to find out when I came to that they don't offer table service. I was told that they are “not sure” why no one has yet canceled the open table. I wouldn't have decided to come here if I knew that before. when we went up, the bartender who was rude and sown clear told me that when I ordered food, I came into the bar and myself ig. the drinks were ok, badly done and in a hurry. eating was decent, but very small for what they calculate. I'm sure they won't leave her to try."

They didn’t have reservations yet have open table taking reservations. All their tables were reserved but yet they take no reservations and lady at the front desk for high bar was very rude about it all.

Had a reservation, when we got to the door, they didn’t even know their bar took OpenTable reservations. Super crowded and music was sub par. The view is the best part and good luck trying to find a spot to hangout.

I'm leaving 1 star because, even after an email that our reservation was confirmed, we were turned away at the elevator due to a private function! This should have been shown when I was making reservations. Where is the communication?? Screwed our evening up. 30th Anniversary. Thanks for nothing. View menu

I was informed that they didn't accept reservations through OpenTable, so I'm confused as to why that option was available. Additionally, no one responded when I reached out directly to the venue twice. They should have clearly communicated their policy and noticed that others have had the same experience.

I was disappointed with my experience. Last Friday night, we dined at this restaurant, and it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it finally came, it was extremely cold. It seems that they struggle to manage private events alongside regular customers. They shouldn't be too greedy; they should either close the entire space for events or ensure they have enough staff to serve both effectively.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim.That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."

"Ginger root is one of our favorite vegan restaurants! It is the most amazing take out and now eating here in person, it is just as impressive! The food came so quickly and with two complimentary miso soups that were delicious. The general tsoi “chicken” is crispy and saucy: a real treat! All the noodle dishes have such an addicting yet light sauce with a variety of mixed veggies, we have such a hard time choosing which to get! Finally, their eggplant string beans dish comes as an extremely generous portion and has such a unique and delicious flavor. These dishes also come with perfectly cooked rice and soy beans. Eating this in person has been delightful as the staff is extremely attentive and continues to try to make your experience the best. We also truly appreciate how reasonable the prices here are for these delicious dishes! We will be coming here for as long as we live in NYC, and highly recommend to everyone!"

"I had a really nice dinner here. The place is very small and intimate. It's a great place to go when you are craving a casual Thai dinner. The staff are all incredibly nice. Our food came out quickly and was pretty good!Pad See Ew (with beef): 9/10I have struggled to find good pad see ew in this city. Now I've found a good one! Most restaurants make it far too sweet, but this was perfect. The flavor was on point and the noodles were perfectly chewy. Highly recommend this dish for a sweeter noodle. The beef was also very good not too fatty or chewy.Crispy spring rolls: 8/10The spring rolls were nice and crispy. They have vermicelli noodles in them, which I liked. Overall though nothing crazy unique about them.Spicy Thai basil fried rice: 9/10I really enjoyed this fried rice! It was very similar to the flavors of the Drunken Noodle but with rice. It was spicy enough to have a kick but definitely not overpowering. If you like spice a lot you would probably want more.My one issue was the egg on top was over hard. It wasn't sunny side up or over easy. I wanted the yolk to ooze over the rice and add more flavor, but sadly that didn't happen."
