"How old are these review?, stopped going to this place a while back. This place could be an awesome place (there is a hotel next store full of construction workers whose projects last sometimes a couple years to be a regular if they had better help. One individual in particular took over a half hour, even when I waved, to wait on us and was not very nice. We then had our drink and left because we didn’t want to wait any longer for another drink (the bartender looked over and saw we had finished and really didn't care . We have been back but the same bartender still makes the people who sit at the end of the bar (which is where this bartender stands most of the shift priority. It had been over 3 months ago we were in, not only because of the bartender but also one regular who is very, very vulgar and proceed to let the whole bar know he did not care what he said nor if it offended any women (which he was referring to as a “C” in the place. He told everyone he could do what he wanted, and he did! He proceeded to go behind the bar and serve himself and no, the bartender said nothing. And to add to our expense that night …… The bartender let everyone know that a band was coming, a check was written and hated this place. The new bartender that came in was at the very least nice, however let us know they were tired and worked all night the night before, didn't want to be there and didn’t really care. The band came in and began to set up. Then some regulars arrived with food and friends. Cool but the bartender then started eating with them and not bartending so, the band along with the regulars decided to go behind the bar and start making their own drinks, that was our que. ..”time to go”. All that said, we decided to stop in the last couple of weeks and see if the staff had changed (opened the door to see who was working . New staff LOVE IT. We really enjoyed the new bartenders, David, Christine (I think that's her name, sorry not real good with names and Marcio (I know that’s not his name but hopefully close . We will definitely be letting everyone know that Hugh O’Connors next to the hotel is getting better! Really miss you Peter!"

Awesome little bar. Great community vibe. Trivia on Thursdays and a nice stew of a Friday. Highly recommended

Advertises in the hotel next door that they serve food.. this location does not. Other than that, subpar beer selection, no Irish drafts. View menu

The place is very clean, and the small tables are quite nice. The service is good as well. Unfortunately, this location doesn't serve food.

The atmosphere was fantastic, making it an ideal spot to unwind and have fun, especially for a younger audience! I had an amazing time at the Astros game today!

Great place to watch sports and drink some whiskey or a Guinness on draft. Swing by on a Sunday and you can get a full meal of tamales, rice, and beans for just 7 bucks. View menu

it's decent prices and it's a good atmosphere there's no kitchen so you would have to order food from a partner pizza placethere's a live band that plays on weekends and it's a nice facility to visit

It's fine if you don't live in the loop. Just typical bar. Nothing particularly Irish about it. Service is meh. Crowd is meh... I did have a nice whiskey on their whiskey of the week menu. Won't be back but if you live in the area i guess you don't have much of a choice ??‍

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
