"We had a large group dinner for a friend who was visiting, and this restaurant turned out to be a real gem on the Upper East Side, where good dining options are limited. I opted for the vegetarian selection, and I was impressed by how crisp, fresh, and flavorful all the vegetables were—none of them were drowning in some strange sweet and sour sauce. The portions were huge, the staff was friendly, and the place was beautifully clean. The wine glasses were generously filled, and we ended up sharing a glass between two of us, even though we were all quite full. They offered a solid wine selection as well. The bill came to just $32 per person, including drinks and a 20% tip. I highly recommend this place!"

Hui Restaurant Bar offers some of the best Dandan Noodles I've tasted in Manhattan, only rivaled by their incredible Fried Dumplings! The menu is absolutely amazing!

Authentic Chinese cuisine with a large Asian clientele. The atmosphere is simple, but the food is delicious and offers unique flavors. It's even better than what you find in Chinatown. For appetizers, I highly recommend the crispy shrimp and sesame noodles. You can choose from dishes like Beijing or whole fish, walnut shrimp, General Tso's chicken, or kung pao chicken.

that was a big group dinner for a hospitable friend. this restaurant is a small jewel in ues where there are not many possibilities. I chose a vegetarian selection and all veggies were super crisp, fresh and tasty and not soaked in some obscure sweat and acidic sauce. huge portioning, friendly people, wonderfully clean place and wine glasses that are filled well. we shared a glass between two people who were all so full. a decent wine selection and the bill was $32 per head with the drinks and the 20% tip. highly recommended.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
