"Emma really hit the mark. They've created a charming little spot in Bad Axe with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I tried one of the smoothies along with half a turkey bacon sandwich, and I was not disappointed! The smoothie was thick and packed with a delightful fruity flavor. The turkey bacon sandwich was equally tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they used waffle bread. I'm looking forward to trying a Chia latte next!"

"However, when we arrived on Thanksgiving with a group of 15, we felt completely disregarded. Although my aunt had expressed her frustration to the waitstaff about not receiving the buffet room as promised, isn't it true that the customer is always right? There was another family in the buffet room, and we suspected they might have been friends or relatives of the staff. It felt like the waitresses turned against us and treated us poorly. My uncle received cold turkey that tasted like it came from a food service, and when I ordered a regular soda, Kim brought me diet instead. The green bean casserole was cold, and despite my mother's repeated requests for no butter on her toast, it arrived with butter each time. She ordered an 8-ounce steak, but it was more like 3 ounces, and instead of American fries, she got potato peels—all for the cheap price of $11.99. My father was so concerned about the service that he opted to go to McDonald's instead. My aunt ordered a turkey dinner and never received her food! My mother waited 45 minutes for coffee, and I experienced the same long wait for my soda. Despite our confirmed reservation for the buffet room, it was never honored. We couldn’t help but wonder what the waitstaff may have put in our food. Could we have handled the situation differently? Absolutely! But the fact remains—the customer is always right! We expected our reservation, made a month in advance, to be honored. In the end, we had a terrible experience with horrible food and unhelpful waitresses, particularly Kim and the manager, who seemed to team up against us. The entire mess stemmed from Peppermill's failure to follow through. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant at all costs!"

"We had never eaten here before. We are big Chinese food eaters and moved to the area about a year ago. Long story short, this was some of the best Almond Chicken I have ever eaten. My wife had Sesame Chicken and thought it was excellent. The won ton soup is very good as well and the egg roll, rice, and the service were very good. Our waitress was very good and pleasant and the prices are more than reasonable. If you are ever in Bad Axe you better try this place you will be amazed and glad you did."

"Little bit surprised that I found some decent food in the little town of Bad Axe. I believe I went on a Teus, which usually means margerita Teus for me. Don 't worry, they have some good selections for mexican. I believe I had the Enchilada. I 'm pretty impressed by the presentation. Very clean, nicely prepared, and had a good flavor. They even put fresh jalepenos inside. Also had the onion soup it was ok). I am super pickey with onion soup. Oh, the bowls steak, shrimp)are both good. Overall, it 's not a bad place."

"The steaks were either overcooked or undercooked. Some areas of the salad were brown. I requested onions and mushrooms to go with my steak, but I never received them. The waitress seemed like she was frustrated with her job. We were seated at a wobbly, broken table and had to move to another one ourselves. While we were eating, many flies kept landing on our plates, cups, and table. Despite this, we continued to eat our food. I noticed that they seated an elderly couple at the same broken table we had been at. This used to be a great place to eat."
