I shop and eat there all the time. My favorite for lunch in Hilo. Very good hot food bar and salad bar. Plus a great natural foods store. Kona store is also wonderful.

Food bar was sooo good. Went to the one in Kona and had to stop at this location in Hilo. More vegan options including muffins plus the store has all the vegan essentials to cook at home.

The restaurant offers a blend of unique dishes alongside more standard fare. The focus is primarily on healthy options and everyday grocery items. I visit primarily for their offerings that are either organic or free from chemicals, with no added ingredients. View menu

After shopping, I feel indulgent! When I visit the supermarkets in Hilo, the shelves seem to be overflowing with genetically modified products laden with pesticides. Although some items can be quite pricey, organic potatoes and onions are surprisingly affordable.

I'm a vegan and my husband is a vegetarian. There were a lot of vegan options for me to eat here. We had food from the hot buffet and also got some cakes which was great. We bought some frozen items as well to heat up later. I got a wrap made up for me which was delicious also. I even got an ice cream!

You can almost always find what you need here. The staff seems to be mostly young people, or at least that's what I've noticed when I'm there shopping. They are all courteous and respectful, with no sourpuss faces among them. They seem to enjoy their work. This makes for a more pleasing shopping experience! View menu

I think we hit every Island Naturals while on Hawaii, and the Hilo store was great. The salad and hot bar was the best of any of the locations, and staff went above and beyond to answer questions about products and items. PLENTY of choices, this was my favorite natural foods store in Hilo. The bulk section had everything we wanted.

You will find great herbs, teas, same product different brands, fresh. Organic, good local products also, gifts with local motives, natural medicines. Poultry, meat, fish, local eggs. Frozen products made a food straight. Good to go out, breakfast, lunch, early dinner. At 8 o'clock. Large parking lot. Prices are not on the cheap side. Some discounts for seniors and students. They also sell wine.

This is a great market that offers a wide range of organic, gluten-free, and vegan products, along with an abundance of local produce, bulk grains, spices, and teas. Their apothecary section is also quite impressive. While prices can be a bit steep, they do have a rewards program for members that helps ease the cost a little, plus they run weekly sales. It's one of the few places where I can find gluten- and dairy-free pizza, and I must say, I enjoy indulging myself now and then! View menu
