"My sister I went to Nick’s for the first time tonight. We were doing sister’s getaway this week and we were so pleased we came here . The cocktails at the bar were wonderful and both bartenders were friendly, professional, and helpful. I can’t say enough of Victoria our server at the table . Hands down she was the BEST! From start to finish , she helped with our choices , orders , and dessert . She was point on with everything while being friendly yet professional and fun ! We will definitely be back here next time we visit Cottonwood. Hope Victoria is still here . Thank you to the staff at Nick’s for making our evening most memorable."

"Such a disappointing experience compared to the wonderful Prescott location of sister restaurant Colt. This one is a serve yourself, basic kind of place. No table service, order at the counter, pick up at the counter, get your own drinks etc. Now, there is nothing at all wrong with all of that if the prices reflect this absence of service...but they don't. Staff attitude is what you would expect from counter service. No smiles, nothing friendly, nothing helpful. In fact I got directed to a lemonade dispenser when i had inquired about water, then got barked at for using the lemonade dispenser. I ordered a large Cobb Salad. No egg and no avocado. Spinach was indeed very fresh, but still had the tails attached which many people would object to (fine by me though). It had the very cheapest Sysco dressing, basically flavored water. Good blue cheese bits, good bacon bits, that's about all I can say. They have a smoker on site and that typically makes for good smoked meat, but I didn't try any. Given the stiff competition just a few doors down the street, there is no reason to eat here."

"The empanadas were really good. My mother-in-law tried the lamb empanadas and she brought home the spanakopita empanadas for her husband. I had the fish tacos with the seared ahi and a ginger sauce on top with a red cabbage slaw for the topping. My kids had a gluten-free quesadilla, which was simply replacing the flour tortillas with white corn flour tortillas. And instead of using the spicy avocado sauce, they just substituted out some avocados. Everything was awesome! These people really know how to tear it up in the kitchen. ??"

"Hubby and I are visiting the area for a week in our RV and are exploring Cottonwood today. We just had lunch at Red Rooster Cafe and, oh em gee, it was DELICIOUS! Hubby had the Chicken and Goat Cheese sandwich and I had the Black Bean Burger. Both were amazingly tasty and fresh. Service is great and the ambiance inside and out on the patio is casually comfortable. We WILL be eating here again...and again... before we leave. Highly recommend Red Rooster Cafe!"

"The Prickly Pear Margarita, Old Town Margarita, and Mojito are all delicious! The indoor restaurant has a dark and slightly dusty atmosphere, with high ceilings and dim lighting. The concrete walls can create a loud echo when the place is busy. When I ordered a burger cooked medium (with a bit of pink), it arrived medium well (light pink) or even well done (grey), and the buns were burnt. The preparation of salads seems to vary depending on who is working; however, the Strawberry Spinach Salad is excellent. Unfortunately, the Chicken Tenders have consistently made us feel unwell after eating them. On a positive note, the servers are professional, friendly, and helpful. Management is candid and open about the restaurant's operations. This place is great for first-time visitors or those just passing through town, but the inconsistency in food preparation could use some improvement."
