Kreyol Flavor - Menu

I ordered the oxtail, and I definitely should have gone for the larger portion! It was absolutely delicious and worth every cent.

I ordered griot and it was shredded( I didn’t like this) instead of a whole piece. The wait was long and not very customer friendly for those waiting for food.

The food here used to be amazing now I don't know what type of food that it is. I just purchased fish and rice I'm really trying my best to eat it. The rice and fish are both tasteless. View menu

They were out of lambi, but instead of letting me know so I could choose something else, they sent a different dish without my consent. Although I didn't rate them lower because the food was good, I was not pleased with their handling of the situation.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend, and so far, I have been quite pleased. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. It's rare to find excellent customer service at Haitian restaurants, but this one really impressed me.

The food was disappointing; the only acceptable dishes were the white rice and the rice and peas. I ordered a soda, but it never arrived, even though I had already paid for it. Moving forward, I think I’ll just stick with Kreyol Flavor at Nostrand and Church instead. View menu

I used to visit this restaurant often, but after my experience today, I won’t be coming back. The treatment I received as a non-Haitian was quite negative. While I understand that they don’t speak English, I found that when I tried to communicate in English, the staff became quite unfriendly. They responded to my questions with an attitude. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this place. It was hot inside, and the overall atmosphere was unpleasant. There are two lines, but I waited for 20 minutes only to find out that they were out of fried pork. If you have the choice, I recommend going to another restaurant for a better experience. I really cannot recommend this place!

That black short lady who claimed she is the manager she was sooooo rude to me today because they gave me my food without telling me the macaroni wasn't ready and when I catch that she told me ohhh I have to wait 20 mins. I told her that is not my fault if you didn't have it why you didn't tell me that in the first place. You gave me my food without it and now when I noticed it you asked me to wait 20 mins and I ask for something else instead she goes on to say ohhh we don't give substitute and she was like you wanna wait you don't wanna wait have a great day. I tried the griot and thought it was quite good. I received plenty of meaty pieces rather than just fat and bone. However, I'm not Haitian, and when my Haitian sister-in-law sampled it, she mentioned that it was lacking in acidity. The dish was accompanied by a generous portion of rice, a side, and two pieces of fried plantains. Unfortunately, the fried plantains were too thick, not crispy enough, and lacked seasoning. My Haitian husband ordered the patties, but they didn’t resemble any Haitian patty I’ve ever encountered in nearly 20 years together.
