"Very poor management and overall philosophy. If you are going in a group of people and you are not interested the limited choices, over priced group menu, you better reconsider. They won’t accommodate their customers and ironically, they will leave you starve before they...accept to let you choose from the regular menu. The restaurant was half empty and we were people filling that half among others. I offered that I would take the empty table on the side, by my self, so I could, just like any other customers, choose from the regular menu. Amazingly, the answer was no, sorry, we can’t do that. Completely illogical and insulting. I stayed because it was my friend birthday, otherwise, I would have left. If you are paying +tx /person for a meal only, the minimum expectation is to be able to choose what you want to eat and enjoy the meal. They do not have a philosophy and an attitude that would be expected from an higher end restaurant as they attempt to present themself. Montreal has many wonderful restaurants that will host you like you deserve."

Decent experience rather limited menu, ok wine list, very few wines by glass. I would say pricey for the quality you get.

With a couple of hours to kill before the flight a nice meal is just the ticket. Inside the airport there are a few to choose, I recommend this one. The meal is not cheap and there is not lots of it but it was...tasty and cooked well. Sylvain served us and had a great banter for our entertainment. This place is a good stop if you’re hungry waiting for your departure.

Took the chance of getting our starter as part of the Oystermania festival rarely otherwise do we have a dozen oysters each [normally would share the dozen] but then carried on with some great main courses the duck especially was superb and...deserts. Excellent wine choices too. Lovely atmospheric dining room, very friendly and attentive staff but in a relaxed 'unstuffy' way. View menu

Wow what a place, from the moment you enter ,to the ambiance , this place is very different and exellent.Service was as exelent as the food, the wine list is one of the best seen in Canada very unique and crafted. French cuisine at it...best, the cornish gen was one the best, next time will try the fondue. Exelent place to have a great evening with your love one and share a romantic evening...

Stopped in for appetizers and drinks just to say we had been in there because of the year history of the place. Nice wine list. A little sad that the bar menu was different than what was online. We had kids with us and...didn’t want to spend a fortune. The charcuterie tray was delicious! We tried the octopus and the salmon mousse. All were excellent. Got the Cornish hen for the little kids to share and it was also excellent! Overall, spent more than I had hoped to but the food and service was very good!

We had an almost perfect experience here. Making a reservation was east. The restaurant is on a quiet street and located at a refurbished auberge. We sat outside in the patio. Wait service was great. Food is locally sourced and it grown on the premises....We both really enjoyed our meal, dessert and drinks. I would have given this a except we were charged for a north drink the restaurant offered me to celebrate. That felt cheap. So if they offer a drink make sure it’s on them not you. Otherwise great experience! View menu

We were staying at the hotel adjoining our hotel. We were greeted by our waiter, Charles. We ordered the beef for two. There were other couples with us . After taking our orders , it took over a half an hour to get our...meal. When it arrived , the sliced beef was enough to feed Unfortunately the meat was very tough to cut even with a steak knife. The mashed potatoes mixed with cheese were very stringy. Unfortunately, no one came back to check our satisfaction of our meal. They just came over and removed our servings which were hardly touched. We were not asked if we wanted the leftovers. Overall for over the meal was a big disappointment.

We were a family of generations, enjoying a celebration evening out. We have eaten Fondue all over Europe, particularly in Switzerland and France. We often make it at home. The Fondue at Auberge St Gabriel was up there amongst the best. So far...from the sea, Sea Bass was also excellent. Vegetables are charged separately, which makes this quite an expensive restaurant. Wines are good, service efficient and friendly [friendly service we found everywhere in Quebec province]. The service was classical French style, with no plates cleared until all were finished, a pleasant, relaxing change from the Toronto frantic American style service of whipping the plate away as soon as an individual puts h...

"This evening I opted for Toqué’s seven-course tasting menu, and while the service was nothing short of exceptional, the experience unfortunately fell flat where it mattered most—the food. I wanted to love Toqué so badly, and I was excited to see if the restaurant lived up to its reputation. To be clear, It’s not that the ingredients were bad. They were fine—perfectly average, even. But we came expecting culinary fireworks, and instead, it was more of a damp sparkler moment. The dishes were neither memorable nor particularly flavorful, leaving little to linger on the palate or in our minds. For a tasting menu at this price point, we anticipated an experience that would excite and surprise, but instead found ourselves with courses that were forgettable and uninspired. Not a single course left me wow’d and despite the modest portion sizes, many of the plates left our table largely untouched. The flavors just didn’t inspire the kind of enthusiasm that draws you back for that next bite, and ultimately, it spoke volumes about the disconnect between expectation and execution. Montreal is overflowing with incredible food, and I’ve long believed it can hold its own against some of the best food cities around the world. With that in mind, I couldn’t help but feel a little deflated. There are so many gems in this city that bring creativity, heart, and an actual punch of flavor—Toqué just didn’t do Montreal any justice tonight."
