The service was excellent, they were all friendly and professional. We loved everything we ordered. Some of the the best sea bass I ever had that sauce! We can't wait to go back.

The food here is simply spectacular. Fresh, imaginative, perfectly prepared, and presented. The environment, although 40+ years old, is aesthetically pleasing and still relevant. Eating at Chinois is a great experience. We love it!

The food was ok. The ribs tasted very weird, salty. The soft shell crab was very good, my favorite dish there. Everything else, it seemed like the Chinese part of the fusion was lost. Chinese is supposed to be complex and flavorful.. Service was very, very nice though.

Fantastic food and excellent service! It doesn't resemble traditional Chinese cuisine at all; it's more of a gourmet experience. I had the short rib, and it was incredible—definitely not anything traditionally Chinese. It felt like I could have been dining anywhere. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Have been a patron from over 30 years. The food has been consistently good throughout.... as has the service. Almost afraid to write this, as I'm happy I can still get a reservation and want to keep it that way : I am a foodie and love almost everything on the menu... my Favorite in the main is the Lobster- very Yummy! The food was unenjoyable, especially considering this is a branded restaurant. Appetizers were reminiscent of Panda Express. One of them was identical to Beijing beef. However, we were randomly served a calamari arugula salad on the house, which was possibly the best part of the dinner. For our main course, the duck was gamey and was dressed with an equally unseasoned and bitter cranberry sauce. Our final total as charged was also significantly more than what we signed off on at the restaurant. Maybe the calamari salad wasn’t on the house after all? We aren’t sure. Cannot recommend, and very regrettably will be wary of other Wolfgang Puck restaurants if the reviews and actual experience are...

We love having dinner at Chinois. We live in Orange County but it 's always reminds us that we just don 't get up here enough! We love the Shanghai Lobster...truly a must. A mild, sweet curry flavor over a bed of rice with a shelled lobster, flash fried spinach to accompany the entree. Wonder presentation as well. We also like the Grilled Szechuan Beef which is just savory and so good. The spicy shallot cilantro sauce has the perfect tang to excite every bite. We are fans of contemporary interpretations of Chinese and Indian cuisine, so when we glanced at the menu for this restaurant, our interest was piqued. The establishment touts itself as a fusion of Chinese and other flavors. Unfortunately, the food resembled what a child might think Chinese cuisine tastes like. The Szechuan beef was completely bland, lacking any spice, and the dumplings were not only soggy but also devoid of any distinct flavor. The entire experience was saved by our server, who provided excellent service and a great sense of humor.
