"The ABSOLUTE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE! It was my first time but have been wanting to go for the past year. We went to celebrate a birthday and had Sunday brunch. The waiter was so informative and funny when answering my questions on the dishes. It was such arough choice. I had my very first biscuits and country gravy with sausage and the birthday boy chose the breakfast burrito evenafter being warned he will need an hour nap afterwards. The food was heavenly. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. I ate slow tosavor each tasty bit. The sausage with the gravy was creamy and savory and then a kick of sweetness to finish it off. My BF didhis best to finish his burrito with the salsa verde on the side to enhance the corn,bean veggie stuffed tortilla. As ansurprise we had a spice of plot cake to end our wonderful meal. The cake was topped with fresh fruit and cream. I could eat thatall day. I look forward to coming back during the week for dinner and again for brunch and bringing some friends."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables like me. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"We've enjoyed previous visits to this restaurant but our recent visit was somewhat disappointing. While the food was delicious, the dining experience felt cold and inhospitable. The waiter seemed grumpy. And there was no mention whatsoever about the reason for the occasion (I indicated this was for a birthday when I made the online reservation). Not the kind of ambience we had hoped for, or experienced during previous meals there. I'd like to go back, but this event left a sour taste on an otherwise great meal. And one more note: the valet service is a joke. I got to give a guy $8 to watch him park my car for me and have him immediately hand back my keys as he wouldn't be there afterwards. I'm usually an optimistic guy and rarely give bad reviews. But I have to say something this time."

"Everything was great, our server was awesome and the hostest accommodated all of my special requests perfect. It was my wife's birthday so I came in early in the day to drop off roses and a special cheesecake to surprise her. I reminded the hostest to let the server know it was a surprise,noted I'm sure it was obvious by bringing all this in at when I had pm reservations. Everything went perfect...almost. My wife is very beautiful and I have to deal with guys staring at her constantly it's just part of having a beautiful wife,I'm used to it. One particular busser that kept walking by our table kept staring, I figured he was checking my wife out or obviously checking our table for good service, but it looked like he was staring at my wife's direction. Whatever it happens. As I asked for the check I got up and secretly told the host if they can bring out the dessert with the candle etc. I go back to the table to wait for my wife's surprise face as that same busser walks up to us and says the only thing he ever said to us... Hey guys your cheesecake will be right up in a minute they're getting it ready walks away. Could just be clueless or could be a jerk move...anyways that ruined the surprise and it left a bad taste. Won't stop me from coming back just won't plan any more surprise dinners there"

"Family favorite since I was 15, same location. Was our stop before sometimes but always after going surfing, was in love with the fried zucchini and they uses to come in a brown lunch bag. These days we have the pastrami sandwich or have the big breakfast. And can't forget the shake.. they have definitely evolved over the years. Serving beer and espresso, and can always catch a game on the several TVs they have. Sit outside and people watch and feel the nice warm california sun. It's an Iconic location for over 40+yrs."
