"My experience dining at this restaurant for dinner on Thursday night was horrible. I had stopped in earlier in the day to look at their menu and was warmly greeted by James, who raved about the menu and insisted I try the soup of the day right then (creme of lettuce). I happily made a reservation for one and he recommended I bring my own wine. I asked him if he would be working the evening shift and he said no that Sylvia would be taking care of me. Arriving at 7:30pm, I was seated by one of two waitresses. I ordered and my bottle of wine was opened and put in a wine holder. (It was never touched by the waitress again.) The restaurant was busy and the two servers run around from inside to outside trying to take care of their customers. However, this is done with no pleasantness, no smile, and if you don't speak French, impatience. My basket of bread arrived, two rolls burnt (see picture). For my main course, I ordered filet of sole with strawberries and mango. I took one bite and it was raw inside! Getting the server's attention was challenging but she finally came over and returned my plate to the kitchen. 10 minutes later my fish arrived looking cooked (light brown in color) and it was fully cooked. I asked for some almonds and lemon to complement the dish as the strawberries and mango "salsa" needed more taste. I ate half the fish and asked the rest to be boxed up. I requested the bill and was flabbergasted to see a $2.00 charge for the almonds. (It was a tablespoon of almonds put in a tiny cup.) I told the server that I couldn't believe I was being charged for them, especially when my dinner arrived raw! I asked for the manager and told he was not there. I also asked to speak with James and that was not possible either. They refused to take the almonds off my bill. I very rarely do not leave a tip but there was no way I could when I had an experience like I had. The waitress was harried, wine not served, bread was burnt, fish was undercooked, the lack of professionalism was overwhelming. I paid my bill leaving the the half-eaten fish on my table. I was sorry I ever entered the restaurant under those circumstances. The next day there was a message on my answering machine in French. It was from Maxime, apparently the cook and owner. I anticipated it was a message of apology. Boy was I wrong. After getting it translated into English, Maxime was calling to tell me that he had to pay the $2.00 for the almonds out of his pocket and that I caused "a disruption" in the restaurant. He then said I was never to enter the restaurant again. I am a model customer and have a basic minimum of what is to be expected when one dines out. I am positive that if I were a French speaking customer, his demeanor would have been much different. Earlier, James mentioned to me that the restaurant was moving early 2018 to the old Pizza Hut location on the main street. After 50 years dining in the Laurentains, seeing many restaurants come and go, I have never experienced such service. Olives & Aromates needs all the luck they can get. Personally I would have preferred a much needed Pizza Restaurant replacement!"

Good cuisine, quality and reasonably priced. It's advantageous to bring your own wine.

I would like it if when you make a reservation it is in French, not in English. I have never been able to book in French.

I recently dined at Pizza Hut and enjoyed their good food with large portions that were tasty and well presented. However, I found the chicken and rice soup to be overpriced and lacking in flavor.

We stumbled upon a hidden gem in Ste Agathe. My wife raved about the bavette, claiming it was better than many she's had in Montreal. I opted for the ribs smothered in maple syrup and they were absolutely delicious. The menu offered a variety of options at reasonable prices. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant. View menu

Beau style.

My husband and I were staying at a nearby Auberge and made a reservation for dinner here. I recommend making a reservation as this is a very small restaurant with only about 10 tables. We were seated at a small table for 2 that was a bit cramped and as it was slightly raised the ceilings were low. We brought our own wine which we noticed that a lot of the other tables did as well. We both had the ribs and they were very tasty. We enjoyed our meal very much.

I reserved a table, but in fact this probably wasn't necessary the night/time we went. We were able to choose a spot on the patio, although the place filled up shortly after we arrived.Service was excellent from start to finish, very unobtrusive & discreet, but always attentive. I think the server's name was Johanie (sp?), she deserves a shout out!Food was very good to excellent (only the goat cheese part of the mesclun & goat's cheese salad starter let the meal down as a whole). The bavette (flank steak) & sauce was perfect, as was its accompanying salad. This is one of my favourite cuts, but is so often a disappointment that I hesitate to order it in Qc, even when I (rarely) see it on a men... View menu
