"Unfortunately unreliable. Called this store ahead of ordering to make sure they could deliver a gift bottle with a note for someone's event. They confirmed everything over the phone before and after I placed the order online on Friday morning around 10am. Received a confirmation email Friday evening that the order was filled. They called once Friday when trying to deliver, didn't leave a message, didn't text, didn't call back, didn't email. On MONDAY I got another call saying they never delivered the gift. But this is after receiving an email confirmation that it was delivered??? Had such high hopes for this place. So disappointed."

You offer unique items that are not available anywhere else, and your prices are quite reasonable.

This is my go to in the neighborhood. Decent prices (don’t forget the discount on a half or full case of wine), chilled canned beverages at the front, and super fast service.

They're so friendly and helpful here. Whenever I order alcohol delivery or pick up, they almost always have the best prices in the area. They also give my bulldog treats, he also rates Philippe Liquors 5 stars. View menu

My daughter took me here for a birthday dinner. It was a weekday, so the place wasn’t crowded at all. Our waiter, along with the rest of the staff, was very gracious. The ambiance is modern and spacious. The food was delicious, though a little pricey for what you get. I’m not usually one to drink cocktails, but I must say her lychee martini was excellent. They also have some lovely spots that are perfect for Instagram moments, which adds to the trendy vibe of the place.

This is probably one of the most affordable wine shops in Chelsea. Trust me, I'm well aware of this. I often venture out just to save $3-$4. It's a great choice for more than just inexpensive wines. I also love that they consistently offer a wide selection of discounted wines, unlike the same old options I find in my local wine shop in Brooklyn. The staff is always incredibly friendly, and they even keep affordable wines chilled. It’s frustrating how many places reserve the refrigeration for the pricier bottles, but that’s not the case here. I really appreciate and respect that!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
