"I ordered a chicken dish which was cooked and served in banana leaves. The chicken was a bit overcooked and the tortillas were dry. Disappointed in the tortillas especially. The food was good but not excellent. When I ordered a margarita on the rocks at the bar, they brought me and charged me a top tier tequila without asking if that is what I wanted. I wanted a house margarita but ended up with a $13 margarita. It was good, but I had expected the default to be a house margarita instead of top tier."

Excellent food and service. The dining room gets a little loud with the marachi band roving around.

Amazing buffet. Most items I have never had before and the few I had, were amazing. Best tamales I have ever had. I wish I started with them.

Had a lamb mole that was moist and flavorful. The “Perfect” was perfect as always. Attentive service. We love Pico’s. Also love that waitstaff and hostess were masked!

I had to send my food back twice because it was lukewarm at best. They should have comped the food but did not. Picos is circling the drain and is no longer one of my faves.

I love the waiter. Forgot his name but it started with an H and is Salvadorian. Loved the whole night. He made it great! If I see him I will request him to serve us. Great man! : View menu

The best margaritas in Houston! Everything on the menu is delicious. The service is usually excellent as well. We enjoy spicy food, and their salsa has been impressively spicy, just like in Mexico, recently.

I’ve always had a good experience at Picos. Booked a reservation for a large party recently, and I’m so grateful I did it there. The service/staff were great quick, accommodating and nice. And the food never disappoints!

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
