"The prices for the bowls at this place simply aren't justified. If you're looking to incorporate more fruits into your diet, there are better and more budget-friendly alternatives like Old Nelson, the Fruit Truck next to Ritter Hall, or Fresh Grocer. If the Fruit Truck hadn't been closed, I probably wouldn't have chosen to visit Playa Bowls. On my first visit over a year ago, I tried the Pura Vida acai bowl and it was fantastic, but since then, the quality has declined. I often find myself getting mushy blueberries or tiny, wrinkled ones. Additionally, the acai doesn't taste as good as it used to. On a positive note, their oatmeal is really delicious and more reasonably priced than the bowls, and I bet the smoothies are great too. The service is always prompt and the staff are incredibly friendly, which is definitely a plus. Perhaps I'm just not choosing the right items at Playa Bowls, but I'm disappointed to find that I paid twice as much for a product of lower quality."

This is one of my favorite Playa Bowls locations. The service is outstanding; the staff is always cheerful and serves with a smile. The bowls are amazing! My top choice is the Pink Flamingo. I also really enjoy their smoothies—they are fresh and delicious! The staff is excellent!

I visited this place for lunch today and overall, it was a great experience! It is a bit on the expensive side for what you receive, but the quality of the açaí bowl is definitely top-notch. I really appreciated the extensive menu with a variety of smoothies, açaí bowls, pitaya bowls, chia pudding, and more. View menu

The bowls here are delicious, but I've noticed that every time I visit, the amount of coconut base I receive varies. Even when I order extra, I often end up with less than the standard portion for a regular bowl. It's frustrating, especially since the bowl costs $12 and I'm paying extra for more only to receive less instead.

I discovered this place downtown while searching for a healthy lunch option, and I couldn't be happier! This restaurant is fantastic! When I found out there was a location closer to me, I was thrilled. I even treated my kids to a meal there one Saturday, and now my oldest insists on going every two weeks as a special treat. I can't argue with her—it seems like a reasonable choice for health-conscious individuals!

"Fantastic neighborhood gem. Food was flavorful, cozy, inviting, and fun. Not fussy or arrogant, but cooked with love, execution, and straight from the heart. My favorite was the Burrata dish, a cold cheese dish with the seductively sumptuous balsamic glaze and the best thinsliced prosciutto I ever had thankfully not too salty as it was packed with flavor. The bread was fantastic for mopping up the rich tomato based seafood app.My wife and I loved the seafood spaghetti dish, although the dark brown think buckwheat spaghetti surprised us at first. The rich white wine broth and clams were fantastic, but the noodles were perplexing and intriguing and fantastic!. The whole wheat made it seem like it might be tough but it was smooth and chewy, while still hearty. And yet it almost felt too soft and about melt, although there was a firm elasticity to it! The scallops risotto was rich and decadent. Temp was good. The service was good, the outdoor ambience was wonderful, the napkin's bluegray hue resonated with my wife, and the plates were gorgeous.Overall, it was excellent and worthy of going back and recommending to friends and family. The meal may not have been technically flawless the delicious octopus could stand to be grilled or cooked a tad longer, but it was still perfectly authentic, heartfelt, and admirably executed. It straddled the fine line between elevatedelegant and homey. It accomplished what it set out to do and delivered on what one would expect! We live outside the city, so we won't be able to visit often, which may be good, because this is such a fine neighborhood establishment—if I lived nearby, I'd definitely be in danger of blowing my monthly dining budget"
