"I was very disappointed we were ending our weekend family getaway in the mountains and wanted to enjoy some breakfast before heading home to Charlotte, I checked the waitlist on google which said about 30 minutes so we were prepared to wait. We signed in at 11:29am for a party of 4 the hostess said it would be a while so we sat nearby in the beautiful yard enjoying the creek and bridge view never heard my name called so after about 40 minutes went to check the list only to find my name crossed out with a note “called at 11:30” how that’s possible is beyond me but nonetheless I asked the hostess/waitress about our name’s being crossed out she rudely told me she called me several times and I would have to be added to the bottom of the list which I was taken aback by then she said you can sit outside if you want, so we sat at a table she sat another party after us and made sure to address them warmly bring them silverware and take drink orders then came to us and was staring at us very rudely and asked my 7 year old how old he was only to mark him as an adult she clearly had a problem with us and it seemed to be because we were Hispanic as we were the only family there who was being treated this way I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life and I wish we would have just left because 16.50 per person for omelets and empty bins of food was not my idea of money well spent our server was Hope and she was definitely the worst person I have ever dealt with she needs to find a different job if she wants to judge people based on appearance because that’s shallow and just wrong we will never visit here again"

"Stopped here for lunch with the family during vacation. The atmosphere and live music were excellent, definitely 5 stars for that part of the experience. As for the BBQ part, menu options were limited to pulled pork or chicken, which was a bit disappointing since we came here looking for brisket. But both were very tasty along with the fried okra and potato salad. The sauce bar was great too, nice vinegar based Carolina bbq sauce. It’s self serve for a lot of things which I prefer since you don’t have to wait for a waiter/waitress. Seating was a bit limited. I’d say the place is somewhere between a roadside stand and a full blown restaurant. Great gift shop in the store itself was nice and the art shop next door is definitely worth checking out."

"I’ve been trying for a while to remember which restaurant had the dark brown sauce on egg foo yong. Now I know. This is a soy based sauce and is really not good at all. EVERY other restaurant I’ve ever been to has a light brown gravy, which is excellent. Everything else about New Miyoshi is good and I will go back there again, but I won’t order the egg foo yong. Two weeks later...Thoughy I'd eat in, too hungry to wait to get it home. Rude hostess/waitress. She tried, but she doesn't even look at guests pleasantly. Other waitress was sweet as sugar! Egg rolls just as delicious, egg drop soup-still good, general tso chicken good but much much more sweet than spicy. Couldnt eatit. No hot tea, nothing hot to drink and order your tea half n half, it's sweeeeet! I was offered hot water by Miss Rude though. Service and speed were perfect! No personality to the dining room at all. Not even music. And you want to limit your time with the hostess..... This restaurant is really more for just take out."

"Love the old school license plates and decor! My BBQ sandwich was wonderful and this half rack of ribs had more meat than most places have in a full rack! The sauces are all wonderful and i usually don't like the vinegar based ones. Bbq soooo juicy... oh. My. Goodness! Just like it should be! Kid-friendliness: Such a friendly place! Wheelchair accessibility: Chances are someone will hold the door for you! Love this lil town! Service: Dine in"

"Decent Cafe, not really updated but was just right for the prices of the menu items. Not the restaurant's fault at all but a mouthy customer (who seemed to be in the wrong in my opinion) started yelling at one of the staff about her order. It was ready and on the counter for at least 15 minutes before the customer arrived. As she was yelling at the young employee another customer got up and started yelling at the first one. Some very graphic and mean things were said, which caused a third customer (retired Corrections officer) to verbally break it up. Eventually staff refunded the order and asked customer 1 to leave but this should have happened much quicker. I ate as quick as I could and left....."
