"This is certainly the revamped Schlotzsky's compared to the restaurant I remembered from years past. The menu features a diverse array of handcrafted sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas, and mac 'n' cheese. The restaurant was bustling, and tables were in high demand. The staff was friendly and quick to serve. However, the selection of vegetarian-friendly options was somewhat lacking. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a quick lunch. And as a bonus, they also serve Cinnabon!"

I love their sandwiches! I am from Texas where Scholotsky's began (Austin) My first one was in the 70's.

I love this food. We travel 40 minutes to eat the original. Can get enough of her roasted bread. I saw improvements with the staff. Had our best experience with our recent visit.

I frequently visit this restaurant, and I want to express my appreciation for the excellent service and helpful staff. Tonight, I arrived just before closing time, but I was warmly welcomed. Iris was fantastic, and the rest of the team was equally great. View menu

The interior is always clean and lovely. The food is consistently good, but I prefer other sandwiches. The staff are friendly, though they don't always seem very knowledgeable—perhaps they have hired more new employees. We'll be returning, but it's not my top choice.

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience. My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments. While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature. The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff. On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"A Delightful Breakfast Experience at the Black Bear DinerI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Black Bear Diner, and I must say, it was a remarkable experience that left me feeling satisfied and impressed. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The aroma of hickory smoke bacon filled the air, immediately whetting my appetite and setting the stage for a memorable breakfast.I opted for the classic combination of hickory smoke bacon, over medium eggs, country potatoes, and a medley of red and green peppers and red onions. The skillful preparation of these ingredients resulted in a dish that was nothing short of perfection. The bacon was delightfully crisp, and the eggs were cooked just the way I like them. The country potatoes were seasoned to perfection, and the colorful blend of peppers and onions added a delightful touch of flavor and texture. Every bite was a symphony of taste that left me craving more. What truly made this dining experience stand out was the exceptional service provided by Jennifer, our server. She effortlessly managed the bustling restaurant, seamlessly attending to both dine-in customers and those placing orders to go. Despite the demands of her role, Jennifer always had a smile on her face and treated each customer with the utmost care and attention. Her warmth and efficiency made us feel right at home, and it was clear that she genuinely enjoyed her work. The coffee at the Black Bear Diner deserves special mention. It was outstanding—rich, smooth, and the perfect complement to my meal. It was clear that the diner takes pride in the quality of their beverages as much as their food. The overall ambiance of the Black Bear Diner was cozy and inviting. The rustic decor and friendly staff created an atmosphere that was welcoming and comforting. It was the kind of place that made you want to stay and linger, savoring each moment and enjoying the company of loved ones.In conclusion, my visit to the Black Bear Diner was a truly delightful experience. The breakfast I enjoyed was prepared to perfection, and the outstanding service provided by Jennifer and the entire staff made me feel like a valued guest.
