"I ordered a few items common in dimsum, but they did not have it. Can't hold it against them since we came in near the end of lunch hour. What I do hold against them was when my wife ordered a salted egg yolk bun which have three of them in a dish. What she got was one salted egg yolk bun and two lotus seed bun without informing us. Bait and switch, hoping we would not care. My wife also ordered a Paradise Jumbo Shrimp. Evidently, because it was near the end of lunch hour, they rushed this dish as they didn't properly drain the unflavored broccoli and so the water mixed in with the cream making the cream less creamy and watery. I ordered what was supposed to be spicy chili and cumin beef dish. Since anything that was spicy' was given little chili pepper next to the item on the menu, I requested that they make it extra spicy. What I got was a pepper and onion beef dish that was not spicy at all. What happened to my make it extra spicy'? They gave me a small ramekin 1/3 filled with hot chili oil on the side... I dumped the whole thing into my dish. I mixed it around and still did not get any real kick. So I order another side of hot chili oil and dumped the whole thing into my dish. Finally got enough kick out of it to not be sicken by the meal. I had to eat/drink my food to get enough spicy kick to be all right. I gave never ever had to do something like that in my life. Now I know I can handle spice, but I also know I am not that much of a chili head. For me to have to treat my dish like soup and drink their chili oil speaks more on how unspicy the chili oil was. And how bad this dish was. I may change my mind again in the future as I will give this restaurant one more chance. But first impression was not remotely good nor can I right now recommend to anyone."

there are a few times and eating is really okay, but it's on the pricier side. I would rather go to victoria’s in Brighton/Allston.

Everything was tasteless. For some reason, there was a complete lack of flavor across the rice noodles, har gow, shu mai, bean curd rolls, chicken claws, stuffed eggplant, and even the hot sauce. The wrappings for the hargow and chive dumplings were far too thick but still broke too easily. Will not come back. View menu

do not order from here on doordash. their system does not get the DoorDash order and when I arrived as a driver, they had to take 25 minutes to make the entire order. the customer received his order 20 minutes later than their estimated delivery time. very bad customer service compared to doordash. do not recommend ordering online from here.

Old establishment-conveniently located in Newton centre..but seems like it’s past it’s prime. We went as a family for dinner and the decor was dated inside but was clean. Several items on the menu were unavailable. While some of the food (sushi and dim-sum) was tasty we had some seriously horrible service in that we got one dish at a time with 10 minute intervals until after about an hour we said we don’t need the last dish. They did not bill us for it but will not go back here.

the first time there and will not be the last. there was a big group of us to describe so much to many, but the one who really stood out for me was the garnel with brokkoli and candied walnuts. the garnels were incredible and the cream sauce is euphoric. the only court I was not very enthusiastic about was the lobster in the oyster sauce. no nuss cracker and it was a bit dry, but 1 out of 12 is a number that I will take every time because it was not terrible, just not as good as the other View menu

Many items were unavailable and the quality of food was not near the price. Knowing that getting uni is difficult and expensive in the current climate, they should’ve taken it off all together.Different servers knew different things: One of them said that only one of the soups were available and another said more than the one was available. The “udon” wasn’t udon and it was overcooked to bits. The sizzling pot had a disappointing amount of food.Disappointed, dissatisfied and will not come back again.

"I haven't been here in several years and this place has changed the menu since then. They used to serve crepes, but it seems like that is no longer on the menu. I miss the crepes they used to serve, but this place still seems like an excellent local coffee shop with sandwiches.Service: I was greeted promptly as soon as I walked in even though the worker was busy making a drink. They take your name when you order at the counter in the middle of the cafe, and they call out your name when your individual items are ready to pick up from the counter. They do not serve dine-in orders within 30 minutes of closing. There are tables on either end of the cafe, but not much, so don't expect a seat during peak times.Coffee: Served as is, the hot latte was foamy and velvety without any bitterness. Even though my order was to go, I was surprised to still see latte art when I took the lid off.Food: I ordered the Otom sandwich, which includes egg, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato spicy aioli, on your choice of bread. I chose to have on an everything bagel, which had a perfectly substantial amount of chewiness. The egg was overcooked and dry, but the rest of the ingredients, like the tomato and the aioli, covered up the dryness. The spicy aioli is mild but does add a nice small kick to the flavors. It is a fairly greasy and messy sandwich thanks to the bacon and aioli, so be sure to have a couple of napkins on hand. Overall, it was delicious."
