"Went in (mostly blind as we just moved to the area and only went off of totally mixed reviews from here — glad we took a shot because everything was delicious! Pork lo mein had a smoky flavor that I love and the dumplings and wontons tasted like the dough is homemade. This also made the wonton soup taste so homey it hit the spot. Cheese crab wontons were pretty good, sesame chicken was super crispy! My only thing is that the steamed dumplings didn’t come with any kind of dipping sauce. But for the quality of the food and the kind service I can do without it! "This place was amazing! The service was impeccable. I ordered a Greek salad with chick peas and grilled chicken. The waiter said they don't have the chick peas. He went back and checked and made a custom salad for me just the way I like it and sent me home with tzikiki sauce and pita and didn't charge for it, wonderful! The atmosphere was crowded but good and adequately well kept."

"When my wife and I want to go out for dinner we don’t go through the ritual of where to go anymore. It’s understood that we are going to the North Tavern in Wading River! Now I have written reviews before about the North Tavern and the owners Brian and Drew along with their wives but I can’t resist letting everyone know about what a dining experience should be like. Everything is wonderful from the time you walk in until the time you leave. You are almost always greeted by a family member who begins your experience. The food is outstanding. Drew is always changing up the menu with different culinary delights. Of course we have our favorites but can’t resist trying new menu items or some of the daily specials! The food never fails to impress us! I want to tell you about a few of them but I don’t know which ones to recommend because they are all so good! There are some old fashion comfort dishes and always great new delights. I always tell myself to keep the review short so everyone reads it all, but it’s so hard. I can’t not mention the service though. Brian and his staff treats you like family. The service is just outstanding. They are very attentive and can’t do enough to make your dining a pleasure. This is displayed by just watching Brain in the dining area. It seems like all of his patrons are personal friends and he makes you feel that way. I can end without mentioning his cocktails. He always is coming up with new and wonderful drinks that shouldn’t be missed. He also does parties and special events which are not the same old thing but and event like it was dinner for two. So if you want an enjoyable evening out to dinner go to the North Tavern and say hello to Brian and Denise, Drew and Carol.Rob G"

"I used to love this restaurant, but something has changed. My recent experience for my birthday was disappointing. The service was poor and the food was not up to par. We had to wait a long time to order drinks and wine, even though there was only one other table in the restaurant. When they brought out my dessert, the waiters did not sing, so the other patrons had to step in and sing to me. It was a nice gesture, but it was clear that the staff was lacking. I won't be returning. Overall rating: Food 1, Service 1, Atmosphere 4. Price per person: $50-100. Meal type: Dinner."

"update: handy pantry reached to correct and I appreciate that! to handy pantry: many thanks for their answer and offer to fix the problem. both orders were placed on grubhub, like most of our orders every week for handy pantry, in which regular without problems. grubhub hasn't relied so much, but I'm just glad that this has been acknowledged and hoped that no problems will get more cowardly. order details per your inquiry:6/3 order 97381906 0156175; pfefferoncini and hot sauce missing on both sandwiches6/5: order 76291908 7915997; via simple eggs were cooked over hard (usually always properly cooked) handy pantry makes in the regel amazing eiersandwiche. it hurts me to write this, but the last 2 orders were a disappointment, including false cooked eggs on one order, and lacked several items on 2 deli sandwiches on another order. even if they order by grub hub, they never seem to read the special instructions box. I really hope that handy pantry reads these reviews and makes adjustments accordingly, because they have good food and I would love to give them the business. I command them again and see if this is just a fuke or the new norm."
