"Sizzling, located in Alley 51 Food Court within the Super G Mart in Pineville, is a sister restaurant to YUME Ramen Sushi Bar in South End, offering a western-style Japanese dining experience. Upon entering, Sizzling is the first food stall you’ll encounter, where you can order and then take a seat at the counter. The standout feature here is the interactive dining experience. Meals are served on a piping hot cast iron plate that keeps everything warm throughout your dining experience. Each plate includes a choice of miso soup or cream corn soup, along with either cucumber salad or potato salad. For the main dish, you can select from a variety of meats, including beef, shrimp, chicken, or salmon, or go for a combo if you're feeling adventurous. I opted for the beef and shrimp combo, which came beautifully plated with garlic butter, rice, scallions, and corn. Customers can choose to have the garlic butter spicy; I went for the non-spicy option. There are numerous add-ons to enhance your meal, such as chili oil, spicy mayo, eel sauce, meat sauce, onion chips, cheese, kimchi, more corn, or a sunny side up egg, which I decided to add. When my sizzling cast iron plate arrived, the fun began! I mixed everything together to continue cooking the egg and meats to my preferred doneness. The rice became delightfully crispy, adding a wonderful texture to every bite. After mixing, I drizzled on my choice of sauce—sweet black pepper sauce in my case—which provided a tasty flavor boost. The cucumber salad and miso soup were good, offering the standard fare you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant. I genuinely relished every bite of my meal, with the sizzling plate keeping everything hot and flavorful till the end. If you love fried rice and fajitas, Sizzling is the perfect spot for you. The meal was so satisfying that I know it will be a challenging decision for me when choosing where to eat on my next visit to Alley 51. The combination of the interactive cooking experience and delicious food makes Sizzling a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and enjoyable meal.
