"A delightful find near the Center for Jewish History. The service was friendly and polite, apologizing for what was not yet in the house (we had an early lunch) and informing us of the gluten free options, including providing a dish of tamari. The sushi was SO fresh! The decor is perfect for Union Square with fun wall art, and although it appears to be a quick take out place, we were free to linger and enjoy the meal. The salad was fresh with lots of avocado and refreshing ginger dressing. Discovered on the second to last day of working nearby, I'd make this a regular spot. Prices very reasonable for the amount of fish per roll. Enjoy!"

Sushi 1 is a wonderful place for succulent sushi. Cafeteria-style seating reminiscent of authentic Japanese bistro. A great place to grab a bite to eat.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, I couldn't. Aside from the katsu and rice, the food was nearly tasteless. However, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was great.

The best and freshest sushi I've had in the city. I can't believe how amazing the quality is considering the price. I rave about this to everyone and have been going once a week. So surprised this hasn't blown up on tiktok lol View menu

I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bento box for takeaway but they gave me the wrong food. I realized this later when I got back home and had to sleep with a hungry stomach because I did not know what type of meat they put in there. Service is terrible.

I honestly tried not to spend too much honestly money but somehow ended up with a $26 lunch. Good thing is that the food was delicious. It looks like a fast food place but they do bring the food to you as well as clean up for you. Knowing that I should have left a tip.

I wanted to like this place but went away disappointed. I ordered the “Bestseller” consisting of 3 different half rolls and 2 pieces of salmon sushi. The kani (crab stick) roll had too much mayo mixed in while the sushi rice was mushy from adding too much water.Hopefully they will fix these issues before my next visit. View menu

The sushi was lacking in flavor, and the bento box wasn't traditional at all—it didn't include wasabi or ginger. They would have been better off keeping it simple with just a California roll and gyoza. Instead, I got Nigiri and ebi sushi. As someone new to sushi, I didn't enjoy it and I wish they had informed me about the options for the bento box sides. Additionally, I noticed employees eating at their workstation while preparing food, which was quite off-putting.

I've come here multiple times and have always been impressed with the quality of sushi especially because of how inexpensive they are!!I love the whole concept of affordable sushi and this place does it right. I always get some kind of combo. This place is definitely better than some other places that charges much more. The fish tastes good and the rice is prepared right. I've never had a problem with this place. To top it off, the customer service, even thought it's over the counter fast casual, has always been over the top. Also take a look at the cute sushi town drawing inside. I love eating here and having a little sushi break.
