"Tried Locali in New Canaan last night and was pleasantly surprised. It was exceptional. It's mostly a take-out spot, but there is a small bar area and about eight tables to make for a decent date/small family spot. Started with a kale, orange and pistachio vinaigrette salad along with a shaved cauliflower along w/ medjool dates, cashews and white balsamic. We kept the kale vibe going with a kale-almond pesto pizza topped with mozz, lemon and crispy kale. Everything was excellent. This place is definitely a contender for our regular pizza spot along with Colony."

"This bar is supreme. It is affordable, comfortable and genuine. It's like the Town of New Canaan's family dining room. Everyone receives what they ask for, everyone is always treated right and no one is a stranger. And please stop calling here and asking if they take reservations, it is first come first serve, the seats fill up every time you want a seat, you'll have to get here first and earn it. And you will be rewarded each time. The servers are friendly and hard working and the bar tenders are attentive, true and trusty. Dan will provide you a well stocked, orderly bar; Mark is your Commander in Chief of harmony and good spirits, and then there is Nikita; oh Nikita he will push you to your highest potential, whether you know it or not. Simply put this bar is awesome. It's an institution. It provides good food, at a good cost; a hardy drink, at a fair price, and; provides a place where the entire town is welcome and gets along mighty fine, each time they visit."

"Went for brunch and waited minutes for our table despite other tables being available and the hostess lying about it. Once seated, the wait for someone to give us menus and then serve us was too long considering not being crowded. Food is average with very small portions, but very for two small pieces of toast with a litte crab salad on top? Nice looking room especially during the day but poor service and expensive small portions of average food certainly does not have me coming back anytime soon...suggest you avoid it as well"

"Last minute ressie and great call. Started with watermelon, tomato and burrata salad flavors burst in your mouth tanginess of the tomato with the smoothness of the cheese and the fresh sweet taste of the watermelon ok we're off to a good start. Parmesan crusted halibut followed small nutty pieces of filet, perfectly cooked, warm bed of spinach, just yummy. Had hubby finish my fish so I could try dessert. Warm chocolate brownie sounds easy but far from Betty Crocker ooey gooey chocolate almost lava like so good. Will definitely go back and try some of the other restaurants in this group. Thank you Open Table!"
