One of the best omakase experiences I've ever had. The sushi chef was cool and the staff were great. A very affordable omakase.

We had the 18 pieces course meal and I loved every single piece! The 1 hour limit doesn’t feel rushed at all and I felt pretty full by the end! We’ll definitely go again!

My first time having an omakase and I am hooked. The restaurant is such a vibe and the staff were all so friendly and chill. Thank you to all the staff and for the amazing food and company. When I am back in NYC I will definitely visit you again.

Sushi by M is one of NYC’s best kept secrets. Chef Tim has built a cult following so it’s hard to get a reservation, rightfully so because it’s a very fun experience with a high quality menu. He sources premium ingredients so don’t let the price fool you.

The restaurant was pretty empty at 2pm. The person seem to be the manager put me to sit at the bar. I ordered the lunch special which is clearly shown by the entrance. Took the guy long time to tell me what’s the lunch special. Then told me, the bar area not for lunch special, but will let me sit there. The sushi chef doesn’t look hygienic at all. Birthday omakase lunch! Great for fancy sushi, with premium cuts. They are VERY punctual and your entire omakase will be within an hour, so don't be surprised when you're asked not to linger. In spite of this, they were very kind about a timing snafu we had and got our full meal in the time allotted for an 18 piece omakase with a couple extras, plus a birthday candle and song. Feels very lush and was fun and delicious.

This is my second time in one week going here. Note if you are not a sushi lover or raw seafood this is not the place for you. Note this place can get really expensive quick. However, you get what you paid for. The quality of the food is good. There’s nothing you can go with in my opinion. However, beware when I sat at the chef counter you only have one hour to sit there. Came with some friends for a dinner reservation and had high expectations since I’ve heard a lot of good reviews from others. I was disappointed with the chef who was making our food as he was rude and didn’t wear his mask right. Every other chef was wearing their masks properly except ours.
