"Had dinner at Sybaris Oct 27 with two of my closest friends. I ordered the Hassenpfeffer Sausage (recommended by Jesse) and my friends both had the Pan-Fried Pacific Sole (also recommended). And both dishes were equally delicious. We had the best time, in the best atmosphere, with the best servers, and the absolute best chef. Everything on the menu is guaranteed to be amazing. Add to that a nice glass of cabernet and you have an experience you won't forget. My partner and I have an Airbnb and Sy … – show"

This is a favorite for our special evenings. They have the most unique but wonderful tasting food and they know what wine to recommend with each selection. The desserts are AMAZING too so leave room.

On the positive side, the waitstaff were exceptionally well-trained and enthusiastic about selling each dish. The only piece of information we were missing was the ear tag number of the animal used in one of the dishes. They were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The front of the house is … View menu

Favorite restaurant in Albany! I love trying new things here that I would normally never try because I know how well the food is prepared and have yet to be disappointed! Last time we ate there I ordered venison which is way out of my comfort zone, and absolutely loved it (I do not like “gamey” food). The service is always outstanding and the wine selection is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Sybaris Bistro never disappoints. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff friendly and the food is excellent. I ordered the special which was a blackened salmon. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning just right. I also ate the best roasted squash I have ever tasted. I seriously could eat that dish every single day. If you're looking for fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere for a reasonable price, I highly recommend Sybaris Bistro. The menu changes monthly so better get there soon if you … – show

"We had requested the rounded corner booth in the main dining room and arrived 20 minutes early, planning to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. But instead, we were seated at a booth right next to our preferred one. A couple finished their meal shortly after we sat down, well before our 6:30 reservation. We ordered a Beefeater gin and tonic and a very dry Beefeater martini. Both drinks had an unusual, perfume-like scent that was quite off-putting. My wife sent her drink back, and I decided to switch to a Bombay martini, but the same strange floral fragrance persisted. I regularly enjoy Beefeater and Bombay dry martinis and have never experienced this odd aftertaste before. For my main course, the Duck and Porcini confit ragu had hardly any duck in it. There were only a few shreds of duck meat hidden in the tagliatelle, but no substantial pieces. My wife’s Pesto and Shrimp dish arrived swimming in a broth. While this might be a traditional way to serve it, there was no mention of broth on the menu. She had expected the pesto to be coated on the pasta and oily, rather than soupy. As much as we have loved Capriccio over the past three decades, this experience was disappointing. We didn't even stay for dessert. We'll certainly return, but I hope to avoid writing another negative review. I usually don’t share my thoughts unless absolutely necessary, but I felt compelled to do so this time."
