"I was really looking forward to this Afternoon Tea service but it was disappointing. The sandwiches were giant and very dry and flavorless all except the smoked fish which was delicious). The pastries were also disappointing. A waxy small blueberry pop tart, and other unmemorable things, save a really lovely Madeline cookie. The server was not nearby and didn't offer things as the meal goes, which is traditionally how afternoon tea service runs savory dishes first, ask you if you would like repeats of anything, then pastry). Then we waited for a half hour for our check after already being there for an hour)because the waitress was absent. This afternoon tea service costs the same as the one at Bergdorf Goodman and many others in the city, but you'll find much better service and remarkably better, well thought out and executed food elsewhere. I regret spending my time and money here and won't make that mistake again."

Lovely setting and service was very good! My avocado toast/egg wasn’t warm but otherwise the food was tasty!

I have visited this restaurant many times and it always excels in service, atmosphere, food, and more! It consistently earns a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

Great classy vibe. We came for tea time. The scones were excellent. The tea sandwiches were so so. Loved the jazz in the background and it was beautifully decorated. The wedgewood china was fabulous. I think next time I’ll come back for a glass of wine and a burger.

As a tea enthusiast, I was not impressed with the afternoon tea at this restaurant. The sandwiches were mediocre and the desserts were just okay. However, the tea was enjoyable and the warm scones were the highlight of the experience. The service was inconsistent, and overall I would not return for tea time. View menu

Best place for brunch!! And birthday surprise for my daughter was amazing. I had mentioned her birthday in the reservation she turned 30 and without even asking me about it surprised us with a gorgeous vanilla cupcake with chantilly and candle and decoration. . Thank you for a memorable experience and server was great too.

For a $75 high tea service, you get: a waiter who doesn’t check on you at all, sandwiches that are either overly salted or have no flavor at all (and I’m not picky! , some dried out scones and several cute little desserts that are old and have no flavor. I so enjoyed spending almost $275 on tea for 3 people when none of us ate more than about 1/5 of what we ordered because none of it tasted good. Oh! I almost forgot, the manager made sure to come over and point out that we looked like we were “slowing down” and would we like the check. Didn’t bother to ask us if we enjoyed our meal or wonder why we’d barely touched it. Just like so many things in this age — all looks, no substance or quality...

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
