"Tonight we decided to sit at the bar. No one asked if we wanted a dinner menu and I was patiently waiting for someone to notice me looking at them to ask. My husband gave up and asked a bartender who was directly in front of us. Her head was down so hesaid excuse me and she whipped her head up and gave such a glare we almost left. After that he asked for another oldfashioned. He asked me to taste it and I almost spit it out. It tasted like literally eating an orange peel. My husband askedher name. It 's Amber. She asked for his and then told him she 'll still call him that guy. Not a good move Amber. It was prettyinsulting. For the last 30 minutes(while waiting for wings) she 's complained its too slow and has looked at her phone more thanpeople wanting to order. My husband went outside and left his drink. Amber said does he not love us. I said he doesn 't love thedrink it tasted weird. And she dumped it out. No remake. No refund. On a not cheap drink. PS if you 've ever worked at a bar youknow there 's a smell. A closing up dirty rag smell. It smells like that. Thankfully we go home tomorrow"

We aren't ones to send food back. However, the steak came out too rare and we asked to have it cooked a little longer. The team was so accommodating and our server even provided us a free desert for our troubles. We always get excellent service and the food is amazing. Portions are great, especially for the price. We absolutely love this restaurant and always recommend it to friends/family.

The restaurant was fairly empty and the table offered to us was in the busy traffic way to/from the kitchen. We asked for a better location and they grudgingly obliged. I ordered the salmon medium rare (and said, better yet, rare . It was served well done so I sent it back. (Actually, it just sat there uneaten the entire duration of our meal. I didn’t eat it, of course. A new piece of salmon (the small, very tail end-not as nice by any stretch as the first, thick, center piece was brought out. It was more accurately cooked, but quite inferior to the first one. I just ate it and kept quiet. Disappointed in the experience. View menu

This visit was my first at the Rack House. The Host was excellent!!! I was not able to secure a table of 10 online. The web site referred me to call and schedule. Unfortunately, I was not able to get in touch with anyone so, I went back online and scheduled two tables of 5. When I got there, I explained to the host my situation and they gave us a large table so we could all sit together. The table had 9 chairs and they so graciously got another chair. The waitress was really nice as well and did a good job. Everyone said the food was good. I liked that we were able to talk with each other without everything being loud. The atmosphere was not rushed and very casual. The live music was great a...

Birthday celebration after a College Women’s basketball game. The restaurant was a little challenging to find cut once found it was really nice. Nicole was our server and she did a phenomenal job. She was Very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly (we loved her). Isaiah was the host and he was also accommodating, nice and helpful. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful! The food was ok speaking solely for myself. I ordered a Cesar salad which looked good but could’ve been cut up better. I ordered the Blackened catfish with grits instead of the rice and beans and a side of asparagus. I was slightly disappointed that the catfish was well seasoned and flavorful but it could have been...

"Update 8.20.22: One of the managers from Malones called me after reading my two-star review. He was courteous and apologized for our recent visit (read below . I wanted to update my review with FIVE stars. An establishment that cares for their customers deserves a pass now and then. We will be back. I’ve added some photos of some of our visits over the years along with the letter from corporate. Good job, Malones! Original review: First, let me start by saying we’ve been fans of Malone’s for over twenty years, and with four children, we’ve always counted it as a splurge, but Malone’s is their favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays. We are always pleased with their exceptional service, every table having several waiters to help, and even the manager stopping by your table to check if you had a great experience. Last night, (8.13.22 our daughter was turning 21 and like usual, Malone’s was her choice, talking about it for weeks and planning what she would order. When our dinners arrived I was immediately surprised at how poorly plated my daughters twin filets looked. They were slapped on a plate, not cleaned up — gravy spread all over — making it look like it came straight from a frozen food box. Normally, we take photos of our choices but I didn’t even bother since her plate looked so unappetizing. Also, she ordered a baked potato that arrived on a separate plate, making it very awkward, switching from one large plate to another and so on. I was so sad for her. I’m not sure exactly what happened last night but it wasn’t what we expected AT ALL. Other issues — my husbands beer arrived midway through his meal, the birthday cookie dessert was melted (since the waiter set it on the hostess desk while he served water and bread to another table . We told him NUMEROUS times that we were NOT in a hurry so there was little need for him to bring the dessert with another tables drinks… it made no sense . Speaking of the waiter—despite the several snafus, we tipped correctly (20% , because we know hospitality is a difficult job, especially on a busy Friday evening. Having said that, he wore a larger mask, making it difficult to hear him in the loud dining area. He also wore kitchen food-grade gloves (the noisy, uncomfortable ones , and honestly, neither of those things bothered us. The issue was watching him fumble while wearing the gloves, pulling an open soy sauce bottle straight from his apron pocket — really? I declined the sauce. If he was so worried about germs, having the open bottle in his pocket is a red flag that being sanitary was not his main goal. The whole thing was just odd. If you’re going to wear a mask and gloves—fine—but choose a job in the restaurant where you aren’t expected to be heard or understood. The best part tho, I’m kidding, was going to the ladies room to find NO toilet paper —NONE—in either stall, and having to use the only two remaining seat covers as a waste paper. C’mon? The floors were wet and I’ve already broken a hip in my life so that was frustrating getting out of there. Was the food good, aside from the steak, yes, it was. Will we be back? I don’t think we will for a celebration. Which is sad. I hope this location can give us a better experience if we return. We were all just disappointed, and the manager would have known had they simply stopped by our table and asked. You know, like they usually do."
