"1st time in here. For first few hours was great. Went to see a Motown band. First set was Motownish and was enjoyable. Honey child was band name. One of staff even gave us a free drink since we were 1st timers. 2nd set of band not enjoyable at all. Was gangsta rap heavy set. Not my thing and most of the very heavy crowd started leaving. Then at a bit after midnight same guy who gave us the free drink ticket gets on mic. And says “ you have 20 minutes to pay tab, we are closing” website said band playing 9-1pm. My party had planned on 1 since we were drinking. Guy got on mic. Every few minutes counting down till close. Had to pay 10$ cover so expected more. Band was OK until set list change. Guy with mic. Was super annoying. Oh and we wanted to order food at just before 10- was told kitchen had just closed. No where can I find kitchen hours posted. Band started 9 and kitchen closed within the hour? Not good in my opinion."

The bartender is amazing. We went on a Sunday and they had a Cornhole Tournament. Very fun!

The crowd was a little young, but Stefanie, the bar tender, was awesome! (Sorry if I misspelled your name)

The food was excellent, and the bartender was wonderful. She was very friendly and recommended some great places to check out since we mentioned we were new in town. We'll definitely be returning! View menu

This is a fantastic little bar with friendly staff and the best potato chips! I've been there several times to meet friends who were in town for work, and I've really enjoyed the live music, food, and overall atmosphere!

Don't go if you want a seat. Walked in at 7pm. Place was 3/4 empty but every chair in the place, including bar stools, was reserved. Had planned to eat and drink, but wasn't going to do that standing in the middle of the floor. Stupid business decision on the part of the management.

I enjoy the food and the people.I have yet to go to a college night or to see the live music that is posted as you eat lunch. You should maybe just go eat lunch there and see for yourself. There are a couple of old pool tables which changed my vibes as soon as I saw them ... I like this place y'all should just go eat there. View menu

The food is great, and the drinks are refreshingly cold. They have two pool tables and a microphone available for use. Sometimes the place is bustling with people, while other times you might find yourself there alone. It's a fantastic venue for talented up-and-coming bands that perform regularly, and you can often find a skilled group of pool players hanging out there too.

Maybe we went here on an off night. The bar doesn’t have any beer on tap. It was the bartender’s first night working and she wasn’t familiar with what the bar had to offer. There was a musician but my husband and I were the only ones clapping and we weren’t sure if anyone else was listening. Someone suggested a canned beer to my husband and another person told him he would need a lime to drink it. It was true. There are two pool tables. A sign says they offer karaoke on Wednesdays. We were visiting from out of state so like I said maybe it was just an off night. The one positive was it was very inexpensive.

"My daughter and I had went to Georgetown last weekend to check out a few places to host her baby shower in April and we walked into Laurie’s cafe to check it out and we spoke to the owner Beth she seemed very welcoming and even offered to move some tea sets off a table but we liked them so we told her she didn’t have too. We discussed a few things and we were very excited to come back and try the food because we had already had lunch that day at another restaurant we were checking out so we told her we would come back and check out the food so that we could make our final choice on where we were going to host it so today Saturday February 24th we went to lunch there my daughter her fiancé and my mother and I to check it out we drove 45 minutes or so and we had high hopes and really had our heart set on holding it at this location. When we arrived the sign clearly states seat yourself anywhere you like so we did we picked a round table with a Pilar next to it so it would sit 5 people maybe and we had 4 I had stepped away to use the ladies room and when I came back I had noticed that the owner was at our table and I thought she had remembered us and maybe came over to talk about the baby shower but no she was asking us to move to a smaller table My daughter is 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow we wanted the bigger table for more room for her and for us to not feel so cramped The restaurant maybe had 2 tables with customers and was not busy We did move however I have a big issue with this treatment!! Why have a sign that says sit anywhere if you are going to have a problem with where we sit Also they had other options if a 5 or 6 people table came in so I don’t see what the big deal was or why she felt the need to approach the table in that way it’s a good thing I was in the restroom when she first came over or else we probably would’ve walked out!! We didn’t deserve to be treated that way and she even came out and talked to other tables but never to us mind you no other big parties came in while we were dining!!! A one person sat at a 4 top table but they were not asked to move to a two top table!! She never thanked us for moving tables or came by our table to see how everything was. She seemed more aggravated that we were even eating at her restaurant. I don’t understand why we were treated that way either as we didn’t deserve it we were only doing what the sign said and picked a table to sit at!! The more I think about it the more annoyed I get and I wish I would’ve said more and stood up for all of us and most importantly my daughter who is very pregnant and needed the space of a bigger table. The restaurant had plenty of options for other large parties!! I feel disrespected and mistreated and the way she presented herself today was WRONG on so many levels! Do not support this restaurant and the rude owner!!! The food was ok I did like a lot of what I ordered however the coconut cream pie I ordered for my mom and I to share didn’t seem cooked completely and it lacked flavor. My bill was over $85 for 4 plates and two desserts and two drinks and I feel for what we got it was WAY overpriced!! After the way we were treated we will NOT be hosting it at Laurie’s Cafe!! We decided to go with Sweet Lemon Kitchen and will be paying them close to $900 so next time BETH treat your customers better because you never know that could have been a good thing for your restaurant to host us and your waitstaff!!!! Don’t go to this place if your out in the Georgetown area Check out the many other places and the sweet lemon kitchen!!!!!"
