"Excellent venue to dine and listen good jazz, very well equipped with nice acoustics ceilings. We were a party four and came in early at 7:30 pm. The bartender that first approached us was very kind and had an excellent hand, we asked for two Waxling martinis and he prepared it sublime perfectly balance and smooth considering the high octane mix of 1 1/2 onz gin, 1/2 onz vodka, 1/2 aquavit and 1/2 lillet but the secret was their recipe for the perserved lemons that was the final touch. However, the 2nd round was prepared by other bartender that did have the same hand. The food was ok but not what I expected. I had in mind the halibut but was not anymore in the menu so ended ordering the sole which was ok, my wife ordered the truffle mushroom flat bread which to tell you the truth you should take it out of the menu, the lamb tongs was tasty and the Turkish dumplings too. Cream brûlée was good. Overall we had a great night listening to good jazz."

The service was somewhat inattentive. I had to inquire about our drinks and other things.

A great find across from Davies Symphony Hall, great service and great drinks, including alcohol free options, and great food. View menu

The food is consistently excellent! We always stop by on our way to events in the area, and we bring friends with us every time. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

Newly open and now one of our very favorite places. We always order the “cappuccino “ which is a lobster broth served in a cappuccino cup with a savory “biscotti.” The staff is friendly and cheerful.

Located directly across from the SF Symphony Hall and the Opera House, this charming bistro features a welcoming staff. It’s significantly quieter compared to many other options in the Civic Center area. Be sure to sample the "cappuccino" (which is actually a broth served in a cup) and the Turkish dumplings. Excellent food and service. The servers know the menu well and are really great at helping with the cocktails and spirits. We love love the flatbread and Turkish dumplings. The desserts of which we had sampled them all were fabulous. The music was fantastic. Great ambience and overall one of our favorite date night spots.

This is by far my favorite place to eat before an SF Symphony concert. In fact one of my favorite restaurants regardless but I usually go before a concert. Food is excellent. Nice alternative meat, fish, and veggie. Healthy, tastes amazing and price is reasonable given the quality and location. Staff is fantastic. Genuinely attentive and nice. One thing that bothers me sometimes at other restaurants is after the food comes I may want some minor things like another glass of wine and it is hard to get the wait staff attention but they all are on their toes but at the same time don't constantly hover.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
