"Veggie Garden offers a good selection of Chinese and Korean style vegan dishes, as well as Japanese Tempura. The entree portions are ample. The food is tasty. My favorite dish is the General’s Chicken. The lunch special provides soup, tea and your choice of rice, noodles or a rice/noodle combo. You can choose either white or brown rice. The desserts are very good, my favorite is the Vegan Raspberry Chocolate cake. They also serve beer and warm sake. The room is pleasant, with good quality tables and chairs and if you enjoy listening to smooth jazz and contemporary R&B you will love it here. The people working here are friendly and efficient. The one problem is the parking lot is small and there are other businesses in the mini mall so sometimes it is difficult to find parking. One bonus of eating here is it is located next to two shopping malls and a Whole Foods is across the street, so you can plan to eat lunch here then do your shopping before heading home."

My go to comfort vegan place. Kinda greasy by default, but they accomodate if you ask to tone down the oil.

My non-vegan dad loved eating here with me! I loved the orange “chicken” and we shared a berry smoothie that was so good! The desserts are divine and the portions are very big! View menu

I’ve never written a review before but I felt compelled to as this is my favorite local restaurant. They have a wide variety of options. Not too expensive. Food comes out quickly. Friendly staff. One of my go to places that I recommend to many friends vegetarian and meat eaters alike.

This restaurant is a great find for vegan Chinese food in the Bay Area. Their menu is full food options, from appetizers to main course to desserts. The taste is out of the world! Dietary restrictions: They are completely vegan restaurant Parking: It is located in a strip mall with free parking in Los Altos area Kid-friendliness: The environment is casual and they can customize the spice levels to kids preferences. "Date Night ASA Restaurant has two locations in the Bay Area and their Los Gatos location earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition This was my first dining experience at their more north location in downtown Los Altos With high ceilings and heart themed adorned menus, this was a perfect spot for a Valentine’s week dining experience The menu here is slightly different from the Los Gatos location and I’ve heard that the two locations may not be as closely affiliated when they first opened I loved the appetizers and particular loved the anchovy bread with two different anchovy types topped on crisp, warm bread. The Dungeness crab appetizer was also excellent For entrees, I opted for ASA’s signature exotic mushroom pasta that is on both the Los Gatos and Los Altos menu As a fungi fan, I absolutely love this dish and it’s one of the best pasta dishes in the South Bay and Peninsula The only miss was their special of the day of striped bass over risotto. The purple yam purée was sour and the risotto dry with zero moisture or liquid and more like a cooked rice dish than a risotto ASA is a fantastic destination for the Bay Area and while the prices are elevated, they reflect elevated cuisine (and high ceilings) Smoked and Stoned $16 Anchovy Bread $16 Dungeness Crab Toast $36 Special Striped Bass over Risotto ASA’s Exotic Mushroom Pasta $34 ASA Restaurant (Los Altos, CA) Reservations are recommended on Opentable and dining is indoor only. Credit cards including AmEx are accepted."
