"I really enjoy Wahoo's, but I had a very unpleasant experience with the manager, who was quite rude for no reason. We spent nearly $50, and it wasn't until a staff member informed us about happy hour with $5 pitchers of Pacifico that we decided to stay a little longer and order a couple. Since we were working online using our hotspot due to their lack of wifi, it seemed like a good plan. However, about an hour later when we wanted to order another pitcher, the staff member asked us to wait while they changed the keg. The manager then abruptly cut in and insisted we would have to pay full price. It's particularly disappointing because we come here at least once a week. From now on, we won't be returning to this location."

This restaurant feels quite outdated, as it doesn’t offer Apple Pay or Uber Eats. Wishing them the best of luck. Food rating: 2 out of 5.

I am completely in love with the best fish taco place in Huntington Beach, which is conveniently situated near my grandmother's apartment. We went to this spot with Randy and my grandma's son, David.

The restaurant has a relaxed surfer atmosphere, offering both indoor and patio seating. It can get fairly noisy during Sunday lunch, but the food is outstanding. Overall, I would give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5. View menu

The 1988 Carnitas Burrito was somewhat on the smaller side; I had anticipated it being bigger. However, the baked fish tacos were quite delicious. I ordered two fish tacos along with the burrito for a total of $23, which seemed a bit steep. Perhaps it would have been wiser to get a foot-long sub for half the price, but I was really in the mood for fish tacos to satisfy my craving.

- Maui Bowl (with teriyaki steak) - Blackened chicken taco - Blackened fish taco - Carnitas taco I use a 5-star rating system to evaluate my meals: 1 star: Not good 2 stars: Not terrible, but I wouldn’t order it again 3 stars: Decent, but I’d rather try something else before getting this again 4 stars: Really enjoyed it! Definitely worth a try 5 stars: Absolutely loved it! A must-try Please note that I might revise my ratings after future visits. If you see a .3 or .7 next to a rating, it means: - .3 indicates that it wasn't as good as the second or last time I tried it - .7 indicates that it was better than the second or last time I tried it

"First time exploring the Huntington Beach food scene, and a local friend recommended Mama 's on 39. Special shout out to our server Eric who was super awesome, knowledgeable and took care of our table promptly and professionally. We ordered the KBBQ Pork Tots, the Loaded Biscuit Skillet, the Country Fried Prime Rib Eggs, and two house Waffles a-la-carte. First off, when the menu says Share Me Starters they really mean it. The portion size on the KBBQ Pork Tots are massive, 4+ people massive, we ate about half, as i wanted to try the main course but was already realatively full. The tots are savory and sweet and loaded to the brim with toppings, it 's not so much Korean BBQ as in they just mix in kbbq sauce over pulled pork but definitely still worth a taste. The Loaded Biscuit Skillet was good, i wish the biscuits weren 't so dense, but they were still soft and fresh, the gravy was a bit strange tasting, when i got a to-go box they gave us a couple cups with more gravy and the gravy we got to-go was way better than what was served, however i enjoyed the dish regardless. The Country Fried Prime Rib Eggs was delicious, the Prime Rib had a weird slippery texture to the meat, but was still very flavorful and delicious. Finally, the Waffles A-La-Carte. The waffles were a tie for first next to the tots. The waffles made me regret not getting the chicken and waffles dish. Next time. Mama 's on 39 is a great local restaurant to check out with a group of friends and/or family. My only real complaint is the portion size, i am not joking when i say the dishes are huge and not meant for just 2 people. Try it out, i am sure you 'll love it"
