"For our meal, we had the Homestead Cellar, the Crab Cake Benedict, and a blueberry muffin. After having breakfast at Applewood yesterday, I was a bit hesitant to order another Crab Cake Benedict, but this place exceeded my expectations. The Homestead Cellar was fantastic, featuring flavorful biscuits and gravy (and I usually dislike gravy), along with sausage and crispy, smoky bacon.
The Crab Cake Benedict was exceptional, with a perfectly poached egg, rich hollandaise sauce, and a soft yet slightly crispy crab cake that wasn’t overly fishy, all sitting atop a crunchy garlic bread base that paired beautifully with the dish. The accompanying fruit cup was very fresh, with tasty fruit and a splash of orange juice adding a lovely touch. The blueberry muffin was perfectly sweet and delicious, with roasted edges and a soft, crisp center.
To top it all off, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, despite being busy and dealing with a rather rude table of customers next to us. I would have lost my patience with them, but she remained calm and cheerful, which was truly impressive. We dined outside on the terrace, which was pleasant, shady, and well-maintained."
