"West of Pecos used to very good but since the pandemic it isn 't any longer. Their menu is now tiny with very few items to choose from. The crab guacamole and crab enchiladas that I once loved are no more. The menu basically consists of a few taco choices, queso dip, regular guacamole, a wedge salad, and butternut squash enchiladas and a few more unremarkable choices. I ordered two fish tacos which are now very small and greasy, and a side of rice which was extra $6.00. Puffy tacos which also used to be good weren 't available. My El Guapo was about the same but didn 't have much tequila.Overall, we were all disappointed with our food. Also, even though we had a reservation we were stuck in a small corner with very little room and everything else was reserved. The waiter managed to spill water on my husband which definitely didn 't help.Too many other choices in the Mission area, and we won 't be returning."

Very good Southwestern food, served in large portions. The corn is well seasoned. The chicken enchiladas were very good, served along with a plate of rice and beans.

My go to for comfort food. I'm originally from Texas and the taste of the food here is spot on! Like queso with chorizo mmm I'm here almost every weekend. Great cocktails as well. It's my happy place.Food: 5/5

Love the new plant-based options, including Kuleana Tuna, impossible beef, etc. Recommend this place as they have vegan options for most of the main now and the owner talks about his trip to plants is often based #Veganuar View menu

I only came here for mezcal yep, they had a decent selection. Reasonably priced as well, not only do they know to provide you an orange slice with it, they put legitimate sal de gusano on it as well (worm salt--look it up) instead of Tajin as other places try to do. Service was stellar too and the atmosphere was good also.

Everything we had to eat was delicious. Our group was 30 people and everyone thought it was good. Those who had drinks enjoyed their drinks also. We did a buffet.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian eaters in our group thought the dishes were very tasty. The Portobello mushrooms were amazing.Wheelchair accessibility: There were no steps to get in to the restaurant. It was flat from the sidewalk.

Stopped by with a friend and was seated pretty promptly, not an absolutely bustling restaurant but still a good amount of people in it. Service was goodA pretty average institution, the cauliflower flautas were pretty nice and the sauce was great. There was but to be desired with the pricing and total food. As for the tacos the pork belly was absolutely amazing. The fish was pretty average as was what I ordered (Carne asada) but not sure if I got that in the end. Overall pretty average place, food was alright, will pop in with others but not go out of my way to recommend it

Came here for drinks with a friend on a Friday night around 6pm and was seated immediately. We decided to split a pitcher of sangria and a queso pecos which came with slightly spiced tortilla chips. The sangria was on the sweeter side (almost like it was made with a dessert wine) and not a lot of fruit, but we both really enjoyed it! It came out to about 2.5 glasses per person which felt like a good deal for $35. The queso was also yummy and we got a refill on the chips so we were full before even ordering an entree. I would definitely come back here for a casual but nice drinks date!

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
