"I love writing updates like this, and it's not even going from an average rating to a high one my last review was also high. But it had been several years since an update, and I recently made an omakase reservation for my friend's birthday. We were absolutely blown away by the experience. The idea behind omakase is that you trust the chefs to make you something wonderful. It won't be just a selection of things from the menu. You make your reservation three or more days in advance, and the chefs spend that time brainstorming and working together to come up with a themed series of dishes that will blow you away. If there's something you don't eat, you can tell them when you make the reservation, but other than that you'll have no clue what you're walking into until you sit down. Here's the kicker: if you ask them, they LOVE doing it. It gives them a chance to step away from the standard menu and really let their creativity run wild. No surprise here, that's going to produce the best results! I won't go into the minute details of everything we got, because when you go, it will be completely different. But everything we had, EVERYTHING, was thoughtfully and beautifully presented, and it was some of the best cuts of fish I had ever tasted. Their pride in their dishes was evident, from their excited descriptions of what they had made, to the fact that they were sometimes taking quick photos of their work before passing it on to us. This is an expensive night out, and due to the fact that they have so much preparation involved (hence the three day minimum lead time on reservations) that they ask you to put 50% as a down payment when you make the reservation. Don't think, just do it. If you're up for an adventure, this might well be one of the best dining experiences you'll have in Orlando."
