"Food was good. Grabbed a seat without a wait. Staff were all nice. You have to walk up and order/pay at the counter in the rear of the restaurant, before being seated, which is a bit strange to me. If you've never been there, it's hard to make a decision on what to eat that quickly. I need time to look over the menu. Lol. We went ahead and got seated, then someone went to the back to order for us. Also, your table doesn't really have a server, or we didn't that night. You just kind of get up and take your drink to the back for a refill or get the bartender's attention. Just different from a normal sit down style restaurant, not really an issue. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. Fish batter has some heat. I like spicy, so wasn't an issue for me. Husband liked the crawfish."

"The service at this restaurant was extremely slow, taking 10 minutes just to place an order and resulting in a mix-up with the food. Despite never receiving our order, it took 20 minutes to get a refund, which we were told would be returned to us in cash but instead was credited back onto our card without our consent. The manager, Yanna, was unhelpful and refused to assist in resolving the issue, not even willing to leave the building to address the problem. When asked who the manager was, no one could provide an answer, suggesting a lack of organization. I would recommend avoiding this place unless there are no other dining options available. Even a sandwich near its expiration date from the back of a gas station cooler would be a better choice."

"I ordered the red snapper, which was heavenly. Mom enjoyed the shrimp portobello and surprisingly finished every last bite (despite her busy lifestyle!). My brother chose the Chicken Point Coupeee with a perfectly baked, non-greasy loaded potato. My sister-in-law opted for stuffed mushrooms and a Caesar salad (she’s watching her carbs). As for my nephew, he had the shrimp and fries, and while I expected him to love the shrimp, he devoured the thick-cut fries as well. The starter bread was decent, but I would have appreciated some butter on the table. Overall, everything was lovely, and the staff were sweet and patient with my nephew. Here are a few tips if you decide to visit: 1. Prepare to indulge in everything – it will leave you satisfied before you know it! A stroll along the river afterward was nice. 2. This place is spacious, charming, and full of old character. 3. The staff is great with recommendations if you're uncertain about what to order. 4. Parking can be limited since it's located downtown, but that’s to be expected. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience!"

"However, it took about 30 minutes for our main courses to arrive, and my husband’s salad came out with the dinner instead of as an appetizer. During the wait, we needed drink refills, but our waitress was busy chatting with other staff members, despite the fact that we were her only table. When we tried to flag her down, we were ignored at first, so we asked the gentleman who seated us for refills. Unfortunately, we eventually had to raise our voices to get our waitress’s attention for drinks. When we asked for the check, she quickly returned for the payment. Overall, the service was very disappointing. As for the food, while everything was delicious, including the fried green tomatoes, gumbo, salad, and fries, I was quite let down by the hamburger I ordered. Although the beef was fresh, it lacked any flavor. It definitely needed some seasoning or a flavorful sauce to enhance it. Given how great the other dishes were, the hamburger was a bit of a letdown."

"I was a bit confused about the hours of operation. I placed my order at 6:40 and was told it would be ready for pickup in 20 to 30 minutes. When I arrived to pick it up at 7:05, the door was locked. Employees inside informed me that I couldn't enter while there were still tables occupied. According to the website, they were supposed to close at 7:30. I ended up using the drive-thru instead. Unfortunately, rather than receiving a warm greeting, the employee was on her cellphone, engaged in a five-minute conversation with the window open before she acknowledged me. To make matters worse, my food wasn't ready for another 20 minutes, and when it finally arrived, it was incorrect. Overall, I encountered poor customer service and was disappointed with my experience."

"I ordered a simple ice cream cone and a shamrock shake. When it came time to pay, our order was completely misheard. We tried to explain what we wanted, but the staff member seemed confused (just to clarify, English is my first language and I don't have an accent). Eventually, what I believe was the night manager came over and made some adjustments to our order, but we only received the shamrock shake. I assumed the shake was supposed to mix the Oreos and mint syrup together, but that wasn’t the case here. The Oreos ended up at the bottom with a thick layer of syrup on top. It was unappetizing—about a third of it was just syrup, leaving it tasting more like toothpaste. Overall, it was a disappointing experience at this location."

"I went to Subway for dinner tonight but was disappointed to learn they were out of steak. Instead, I ordered a meatball sub and a turkey sandwich. We prefer our sandwiches un-toasted, but since the meatballs were frozen, the meatball sub had to be toasted. I requested both sandwiches be prepared the way we like. After paying, I wished the woman a good evening, but she walked away abruptly and even rolled her eyes. When we got home, my husband found that the meatballs in the sub were still frozen, meaning I had to continue cooking a meal that should have been ready to eat. We won’t be coming back."

"New Roads, LA 10•10•2023Not recomended unless management changes there! I received undesirable food, I tried not to complain so I brought the pizza home and put it in the oven to make it close to edible but then I placed another order, same day and I just had to return the pizza, the crust had burnt cheese all around it and it was very thin crust to say I order hand tossed crust, it was skimpy on cheese in the middle which caused it to dry out during baking but the manager said it dried out waiting in the warmer, no way! It was very clear that pizza wasn 't prepared right just by looking at the burnt cheese on the pizza crust. The manager(she) then snatched the pizza box from the counter and tossed it in the trash can telling me she wasn 't gonna remake it the pizza BECAUSE I COMPLAINED ABOUT IT AND THE OTHER TWO PIZZAS I bought earlier that day, she said she would give me store credit that I couldn 't use until tomorrow ir any other day so I asked her if that means they would be making better pizza tomorrow since she could remake it tomorrow but not today so I could take it home to my kids but her bad attitude continued. As I was leaving she told me she was THE GENERAL MANAGER if I needed to speak to someone it would still be her. If she 's a general manager ANYWHERE her bad attitude overrides it, I definitely didn 't believe her, it was probably to discourage me not to go further with this complaint but it didn 't at all, I 've spoken to several people about this and a report has been filed, God will handle the rest for me! Check out these pics of my pizza, a warmer didn 't burn that cheese around the crust that shouldn 't even be there ?This was not my first experience with unsatisfactory pizza but this is my first time complaining because I got two different orders on the same day, both orders were horrible, we had to cook our personal pan pizzas more at our house. My sister complained as soon as she got her pizza which was exactly 2min after I picked it up, she said her pizza was wet under the bottom, which indicates soggy, my pizza wasn 't near crispy, crunchy or even hot to say it was supposedly had just been cooked. The texture of the pizza was horrible.GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A GREAT ATTITUDE IS WHAT ANY MANAGER SHOULD DISPLAY, this is never the case at this store under her management.#CheckOutThoseEdges"

"I ordered a steak and shrimp nacho fajitas, but the taste was off because the shrimp were spoiled. When I called to complain, I was put on hold for 16 minutes and then they hung up on me. I called back to explain the situation, but they were very rude to me. I wouldn't even let my dog eat there. I will never dine there again."
