"I absolutely adore this Mexican restaurant that has friendly and welcoming staff. I have gotten to know two young ladies, Kisha and Cocoa, who always provide top-notch service and make me feel at home. The rest of the employees are surely just as fantastic. My daughter can't get enough of the delicious queso blanco, and I personally love the food and the TikiRita cocktail. When we relocated in 2019, we were searching for a restaurant like No Way Jose, and we were thrilled to find this gem. "First, as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted nonchalantly. The host never made eye contact with anyone in our party. My mom specified that we had 3 adults and 2 children. Because he didn't look at our party and was not actively listening, he grabbed 5 adult menus and didn't recognize his mistake until we got to our table. Second, while our server was pleasant, we couldn't tell if she was new or poorly trained. She brought the children regular glasses instead of kid/styrofoam cups. She also neglected to put the appetizer in first so it came out late. Third, our food was not good at all. The refried beans were over cooked and dry. Our rice and my black beans were hard and undercooked. I ordered the honey chipotle shrimp tacos. The shrimp were not hot and were tough to chew giving me the impression that they were not cooked to order and had been sitting out for a while. I attempted to use my fork to cut through one and I just couldn't. Overall, our experience was very underwhelming and we will not be returning."

"My server, Cara did an amazing job was very helpful, the service was very fast, I got a strawberry lemonade she brought it out to me within a couple of minutes and even brought a refill when I requested one just as quickly, The food was delicious. Cara recommended the chicken Flautas and they were 9/10 wish I had more, she was very helpful, one of the best servers I've had anywhere around the area, when we paid, and left they wished us a good night very friendly, and professional, would definitely come back and recommend to others (Even with kids) they have a menu and drawing thing for them.Kid-friendliness: They have a childrens menu and crayons with something the kids can draw on and take home just the little special things."

"My sister and I visited the Border for Cinco De Mayo, and it was quite crowded. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but there were plenty of things to keep us entertained while we waited, whether at the indoor bar or outside, where they had festive preparations for the holiday! The food was excellent! Despite the busy atmosphere, our meals came out quickly and were piping hot. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The environment is family-friendly, though I wouldn't recommend it for young children since there is a bar, and some guests may become inebriated and act unruly. Overall, it was my first visit, and I would definitely come back!"

"This is my family's favorite restaurant, but our most recent visit didn't go as well as we hoped. The service was slow; we waited 45 minutes just to place our drink order, and another 45 minutes before the waitress took our food order. Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately, my husband's meal was incorrect. The waiter who delivered the food said he would return with the correct dish. We ended up waiting about an hour, and my husband’s food still hadn’t arrived. By that time, my bonus son and I had already finished our meals. Frustrated, my husband decided to give up and asked to have the incorrect order removed from the bill. "

Mario is my favorite bartender (although everyone is great); he always ensures I'm well taken care of during my work breaks.
