"This is a real treasure of a place. It 's 1/2 restaurant and barbecue meat store and 1/2 museum of random memorabilia that strikes the owner 's fancy. This obviously includes pinball with an array of games from the late '70s to modern day. The food is quite good. The barbecue sauce is nothing special. "One of the diners in our party order salmon medium rare. The other diner ordered salmon medium well. They both came out medium well and they gave my meal to someone else and had to cook my meal. My dining companions had to eat their meal otherwise it will get cold. Their green beans and rice was bland. Halfway through their meals mine came. waiter didn't take my friends wine order until he ate 1/2 his food. They comped my late meal and automatically added a 15% tip."

"Jambalaya Shoppe ran out of jambalaya again?! The food is decent, but it doesn't really matter if there's none available. It's quite disappointing, especially since they ran out more than an hour before closing. I decided to give them another shot, and this time I managed to get some food. "We stopped for Starbucks and saw they were open and since we were looking for somewhere to eat, we decided to try them. Immediately greeted walking thru door. Asked how we were and what we would like. Not sure, need to see. The gentlemanbehind the counter suggested a sample of what they had and brought us a plate of all jambalayas and the pastalaya and small cupof gumbo. Everything was great and wasn't too spicy for me to eat. Because everything has cayenne pepper in it down there makingit hard for me to enjoy any food while down there. When back in Plaquemine, it will definitely be where we'll be eating. Maybesome day Texas will get one."

"I've been to most jambalaya shops around. This new one in Gonzalez, no thanks. If you can ho to Prairieville one. I don't post bad reviews cause I hot no silverware and had to go to another drive though to get some, that's pretty. I do post bad reviews when I wait at window while they r screaming, then tye girl start rubbing on the guy. I wasn't sure what was about to happen in there. I do know that particular shop in Gonzalez looks like they hired the staff straight from taco bell. Same F you attitude along with the lack of presentation from staff. Dress decent. Take pride in yourselves guys."

"Very good crawfish. It is pretty loud inside with people and music. Outside is very nice with the occasional truck that goes by. They have lots of different options for your crawfish or whatever seafood you pick. They have a large selection of food. The spicy choice is more of a medium. If you really want spicy get extra spicy. If you get a sauce the crawfish are very wet and it can drip down your arms. What they call hush puppies are amazing but I would not call them hush puppies. There is no seasoning. It is just very good fried cornbread. Good service as well."

"Great customer service! Good food. Highly recommend. Dined here for the first time today. We walked in looking lost. Luke immediately greeted us, explained our options for ordering, and dining in or taking the food to go. They have a lot menu options. Instead of sitting on the traditional restaurant side with the bar, we ordered from the side that is designed for to go and take out. The food was ready fast (5-10 minutes after ordering)! They had a self serve beverage station. We ordered Cajun crab legs which was served with two potatoes and corn, gumbo, seafood Lafourche pasta and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. I would recommend and order again. The pasta had good flavor and balance of seafood, sauce, and pasta noodles. The puppies were the best I’ve had in a while. They taste like they had peppers in them. The staff quickly cleared dirty dishes from other tables as guest left."
